OK, I get it (kind of but not really). Seems like folks are going overboard on not so big of a deal. My question is if she wins will you go 3rd party, R, D, or not vote ?

Sorry, she's out with a boyfriend who she has been dating while she is still married. If condemning that makes me a "old church lady", then so be it.

I don’t know the exact timeline but yes I think you are an old church lady if you think it’s handwringingly horrible that someone is dating, or heaven forbid having relations with someone else while in the middle of a divorce.

Divorces can take along time. If you have started a divorce, the only reason to hold off on dating is if it will negatively impact your divorce outcome.

The behavior that is apalling is the acting like a fool in public behavior. The “do you know who I am behavior”. The getting kicked out of a Broadway-ish show because you are stoned. Getting felt up in a darkened theater doesn’t move my needle much. If you need infra red cameras to see it, who cares? If my wife decided to get frisky in the movie theater tomorrow who am I to stop her? Lol

I would vote for her again unless there was a better Republican candidate. No need for political ritual suicide.

Yep. Many folks have never been in a deeply unhappy marriage that ended in divorce. A good portion of those who have been through that find themselves eager to find some relationship happiness (short or long term) ASAP once the separation period starts. Things like affection, human connection, and yes even sex are human needs, not just wants. And a failing marriage can result in them having lacked those for years.

(Besides, as already previously noted, she's a mid/late-30s woman... Pretty much at her sexual peak. So of course she's going to have a very strong drive to explore her newfound freedom.)

But no, I guess she should just sit at home crocheting doilies and reading her devotional until after the Judge rubber stamps the final divorce decree, many months/years after she first filed in May 2023, for fear of what all the church ladies will think.

Or, better yet, she should have just done what Grandma would do... Grit her teeth and continued to suffer through a miserable marriage until the stress of it finally kills her, because to file for divorce would get all the ultra conservative hens to clucking.

I swear, some of ya'll think this is 1950s Mayberry, rather than the real world.

Did she move out and file for divorce several months before "cheating" on you?

If not, that's apples and oranges.

And if so, then that was not cheating. Your marriage was already dead. The Judge just hadn't formally pronounced time of death yet.

You all have a much different moral compass than I do.

My divorce took over a year. My attorney was very clear on what I should do and not due during that period.

It's not a "Mayberry" thing. It's a cover your ass thing. Until that final decree is signed, you are responsible.

You all deserve each other.

If she loses next year, it's because of this ^^^, especially the bold part. Arrogant idiot.

I doubt this will affect the election. I'm trying to imagine a substantial number of voters saying "I was going to vote for her, but she had a bad night, and that's enough to change my vote."

Yeah, I don't think so.

I want her to keep her seat, but her last election was a squeaker. This was an unforced error.

Yeah, it's worth considering that she won last year's election by a mere 0.16% of the votes. Sixteen hundredths of a percent.

The difference between winning and losing was 558 votes out of 327,110 total votes cast.

With margins that ultra razor thin, even a little bad publicity can have an outsized effect. Likely why the left have spun this up so hard in the media.

Hopefully she learned she can't go in a dark theater with a democrat without getting sexually molested. Come on dude you ain't a friggin' teenager getting your first titty feel at the drive-in, you're adults out in public. Are they calling for his head over this (no pun intended) or is it just her? I suspect the left doesn't care about him pawing all over her like that - but they sure get spun up over stuff that never actually happened.

I grew up in Mayberry in the 50s. It's a good thing they didn't have cameras that could see in the dark.

I'd like to be offended, but I'd rather not be a hypocrite.

Uhh, we are in some pretty challenging times right now and the election of a lifetime ( at least mine) is right around the corner. And what are we doing? Pulling our hair out over a really stupid mistake that one of our own made. Quick...shoot her before she gets back up.

Good grief.

My problem isn't so much the in appropriate behavior in the theater (although I don't condone it), it's the acting like an entitled bitch after she got escorted out that is a real problem in my mind. The woman clearly believes she's above the rules that everyone else must adhere to just because of her position.

Leadership means holding yourself to a higher standard, not a double-standard.
