Here's a thought: If data is still enabled on your phone, try downloading the Google Voice app. You might be able to text, and maybe even make calls, via that app, even if your wife has cut off your access to voice and text via Spring. It's worth a try, and it won't cost you anything.

If your phone is under any sort of contract with Sprint, that might be a problem.

Psalm 118:24 "This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it"

I tried Google voice and it doesn't work. I appreciate the offer of phones but I don't know Day to day where I'll be. Right now I'm still in Southlake Hospital in Claremont

I don't do paypal and I don't know what popmoney is, so I'm just sending a check the old fashioned way to the address ArtieS posted earlier. Hope it helps some.

Matt

Turns out I was able to send it electronically from my bank. The internet is a wonderful thing.

It's something you pretty much needed to set up before you needed it, because, unless things have changed, you have to get a Google Voice phone number and that, in turn, has to be associated with a real phone number--said phone to which you must have access for the verification phase.

Yeah it wanted to send me a text verification message and since I can't receive or send text along with voice calls it was useless. Lovely wife who disables a disabled man's phone while he's in the hospital.

So, the infusion of cash from our generous members is fuel in the tank for you, Tony. It will allow you to get your own phone and if you don't yet have a place to stay, the money will allow you to get a hotel room in the short term until you find a place of your own.

This is crazy. There are lots of people I've helped through tough times that disappeared when I asked for some minor help whereas I'm confident I could get help here. Crazy and I love it. Glad to pitch in with the rest of you.

Only thanks I want is for you to get back to living a good life. I've received advice, friendship and physical items from members here that far outvalue the money I sent to help. Best of luck to you sir.
