"but will heads roll, will anyone be held accountable"

I think the right man was chosen to be the AG finally and he is pissed off for sure, so yeah, I think some people will pay a price for the coup attempt. I just hope that some higher ups get their due and not escape due to the politics of it all.

Jim

TRUMP IS ON THE VERGE OF FLIPPING THE NEW YORK APPEALS COURT TO CONSERVATIVE CONTROL.

The Senate confirmed Judge Joseph Bianco and Michael Park to the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, putting President Donald Trump on the verge of flipping the panel to conservative control.

Bianco and Park are Trump’s second and third appointees to that panel. If Trump fills the remaining two vacancies on the 2nd Circuit, Republican appointees will control the court. The two were confirmed with separate votes Wednesday and Thursday.

The 2nd Circuit is the federal appeals court that covers Connecticut, New York and Vermont. Given its jurisdiction over Manhattan, the 2nd Circuit has a large and important docket of corporate and securities law cases.

Though Trump has replaced appeals judges at a record clip, he has only flipped the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to majority Republican appointees.

Both men represent Republican determination to move judicial nominees into key posts at a steady pace. New York Democratic Sens. Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand withheld so-called blue slips for Bianco and Park. Under past Senate convention, the Senate Judiciary Committee would not convene a confirmation hearing until senators return an opinion on a judicial nominee selected for a court in their state.

Liberal groups said the GOP disregarded Senate tradition for partisan advantage, though Republicans say the blue slip rule has been enforced irregularly in the modern period.

The malevolent vengeance of the Democrats and man's inhumanity to man
By Patricia McCarthy

The first known use of the phrase "man's inhumanity to man" is in a poem by Robert Burns in 1784. The poem is called "The Dirge," and it is short:

Man was made to mourn: A Dirge

Many and sharp the num'rous ills
Inwoven with our frame!
More pointed still we make ourselves
Regret, remorse, and shame!
And man, whose heav'n-erected face
The smiles of love adorn, —
Man's inhumanity to man

Makes countless thousands mourn!

Watching and enduring the Democrats' venomous drive to destroy President Trump brings the phrase to mind. They are characterized by an infantile inability to accept the results of the 2016 election. From the moment Trump became the nominee, they set out to wreak havoc on his candidacy, then his presidency, his life, and his family. Without even the hint of a crime committed, they set in motion an "investigation" that was really an attempted coup — not an investigation at all, just a means to a desired end.

The entire Democratic Party early on decided to jump on the collusion bandwagon, invented by the Clintons and a group of unelected, pompous individuals within the DOJ, FBI, and CIA. So shocked and offended by Hillary's loss, they set out to ramp up the illegal spying they had begun in July 2016, perhaps even earlier, to destroy his candidacy. Once he won, they escalated their scheme in hopes of preventing his inauguration. Failing that, they continued their concocted "collusion with Russia" plan.

Robert Mueller most likely knew on day one of his appointment as a special counsel that there had been no collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia. That is how disingenuous he was and is. His job was to cover up the illegal surveillance that had already occurred and, at the same time, find a way to cement in the public's mind that such collusion had taken place. This was the level of inhumanity to which the left was willing to go to dislodge Trump from office. Words cannot adequately describe the shame of their attempt to overthrow a duly elected president and their contempt for those who voted for the man.

There is a program now available on the cable channel Epix called Deep State. It is about the typical arrogance of a small number of CIA agents in the U.S. and U.K. So superior in their own minds, they use and abuse their own agents if a failure in the field occurs. The settings for the first season are France, Lebanon, and Iran. The indiscriminate violence of terrorist Islamists is just the third-world version of the equally uncivilized violence the CIA bosses visit upon people thousands of miles away, including their own if they become inconvenient. The show is a stark reminder that the CIA swells manipulate people like chess pieces on a board without the slightest regard for their lives, their families, or any sense of morality.

This is exactly how the Democratic Party has behaved since Trump won the election and became president. The Democrats have become virtually inhumane. They cannot accept the Mueller Report they had assumed would bring about impeachment, so they have ratcheted up their vile campaign to ruin the president. They intend to continue their game plan rather than admit defeat and address the needs of the nation.

The second season of Deep State has just begun. This time, the setting is Mali, West Africa. Another mission has failed, and those who worked it must be destroyed, including a young African girl whom the CIA team had hired as an interpreter. One has to admire the people who sign up for CIA field work, but, given what we now know about John Brennan, it is easy to believe that the characters in the series are based on real people. When all the facts come out, they will likely show that Brennan and his cohorts Clapper, Comey, McCabe, et al. are maniacally self-important. People, even fellow Americans, are disposable if their destruction is deemed necessary by persons who see themselves as above the law.

In true Alinskyite fashion, the ends justify the means, and no mere lives are more important than the desired ends. The desired ends are often protecting lucrative jobs.

The Democrats in Congress now realize that the jig may be up, that the hoax is about to be revealed to all. I.G. Horowitz and A.G. Barr are on the case. But their two-year, multi-million-dollar attempt to unseat a president has done irreparable damage to the nation, to the numerous people they bankrupted and charged with process crimes, to the presidency, and to the Trump family. They should be ashamed, but they are not. They are doubling down on stupid.

Let us hope the nation can recover from this long national nightmare the Democrats have visited upon us. In the end, "Man's inhumanity to man Makes countless thousands mourn." Indeed, it does.

I found what you said riveting.

Vice President Pence on Wednesday announced that the administration will challenge the ability of federal district court judges to issue nationwide injunctions that halt policies advocated by President Trump.

The administration's move — aimed at pushing back at unfavorable decisions from lower courts across the country — would set the stage for a vast legal debate and battle over the role that national injunctions play in the courts.

Pence argued to supporters at an event hosted by the conservative Federalist Society that the Trump administration has been “unfairly” targeted by injunctions issued by lower courts, saying the rulings have prevented officials from implementing policies and regulations.

The vice president said that in the coming days, administration officials will seek pathways to put the issue before the Supreme Court.

“So I say to all those gathered here: For the sake of our liberty, our security, our prosperity and the separation of powers, this era of judicial activism must come to an end,” Pence said. “The Supreme Court of the United States must clarify that district judges can decide no more than the cases before them.”

^^^^^^^ This is a great idea ^^^^^^^^^^^

I hope it works (but not holding my breath).

As stated - "we are dealing mostly with Obama appointed officials"

However, bringing this whole thing to light before the election will be helpful-even if a lot of foot-dragging, stonewalling, etc. frustrates the effort.

U.S. Special Counsel Robert Mueller will not testify before Congress next week, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler said on Friday.

Nadler told reporters that he hopes not to have to subpoena Mueller to appear before lawmakers, but that he would do so if necessary. He declined to characterize ongoing negotiations between his committee, Mueller and the Justice Department.

“We’re talking to the Department of Justice. We’re talking to Mueller. Hopefully he will come in. It won’t be next week,” the New York Democrat said. “He will come at some point. If necessary, we will subpoena him and he will come.”

Mueller publicly testifying could put him in a very uncomfortable position.

Republican congressmen like Jim Jordan know a lot of what really happened. They know the Mueller report ignored entirely a large number of very shady things that the FBI did.

They know there are many key events & people that the Mueller report did not even address.

Some well drafted questions could make Mueller look like the biased propaganda generator that he truly is.

I bet Nadler and some others tried talking to Mueller to feel him out about what he would testify to for the cameras and Mueller told him to refer to his report (probably in not so nice terms). Mueller is likely as tired of all this BS as the rest of us are and just wants to be left alone and out of the picture already. The media showing up outside his church on Easter Sunday and harassing him, probably did not go over real well with him either.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."
