| Going "bougie" tonight, with a nice red wine. (Portugal, 2020. Thirteen bucks.) It's bold, with a tiny hint of bite. I like it!

| Celebrating our 24th wedding anniversary as usual on Spring Break week. Marry a teacher and professor and that’s what you get. Never thought I’d care about Spring Break at this point in my life but it’s become one of my favorites!

| Elijah Craig Single Barrel. It's a privately selected barrel from a local liquor store. It is a barrel proof at 130.2 (65.10%) 8 year old, uncut, straight from the barrel.

Legalize the Constitution
| Happy anniversaries to all celebrating now and in the near future. We just got home today from Scotland, a trip in celebration of a pretty big wedding anniversary, our 40th. The anniversary is actually in June, but we determined that getting out ahead of summer season held many advantages for us, AND we were blessed with beautiful weather. I’ve never been a Scotch Whisky drinker, but I learned a lot more about them on this trip, and found that taste profiles vary immensely. I’ve grown particularly fond of Oban, a town and a distillery in the west Highlands. I’ve got a bottle, and look forward to a dram. Slàinte M’hath!

| Laird's apple jack. A little history, in 1717 the Laird family opened the Colts Neck Inn, in Monmouth County NJ. They produced their Apple Jack in a shed behind the Inn. At one point a visitor to the Inn, George Washington requested the recipe from the family. It has been reported that George Washington was also a Distiller. A little treat tonight from near where I grew up.
