"Yeti coolers? Made with you mom's old ground-up didos" "Yeti coolers come with a sticker that says 'I go nuts for cowboy butts.'" Nice. Demand not that events should happen as you wish; but wish them to happen as they do happen, and you will go on well. -Epictetus

We tried a Lifetime brand. Made in USA, low cost, solidly built...wouldn’t keep ice more than a couple hours. The company recommended we flip the lid gasket claiming they can lose their seal if they sit long enough. Nope, still worthless. Returned for a refund.

Good to know. They are local to me but I would rather support American made goods even if I have to pay a little more.

I have a Canyon 35 but they make bigger. https://canyoncoolers.com/coll...roducts/outfitter-55 I bought mine from a buddy as he decided the 35 was too small. I just checked and it appears they are assembled in Thailand from all US made materials. Kind of odd. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. There's good ol' Coleman which as far as I'm aware are US built in Kansas I believe and are available everywhere. Not all fancy with bells and whistles, but their extreme series does a good job keeping ice cold and isn't expensive.

Since you're local, HEB has their own brand called Kodi that are every bit as nice.

I have a Bison and A Cabela. I like the Cabela better. It holds ice better than anything I have ever seen. It also has a lifetime warranty. I use it at camp and it gets left in the hot car and still holds Ice in July. _______________________________ 'The true soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of him, but > because he loves what is behind him.' I will say the Kodi coolers I saw (shortly after their initial release) had lids that were sunken in and not flat. It was a manufacturing issue I'm guessing. I nearly bought one on a whim but after seeing that I just snagged a RTIC from Bucees instead. Just keep an eye on their quality control if you consider one.

I own 2 Otter Box coolers, Orion coolers, Yetis and an Orca. The Orca and the Otter Box outlast the others during the summer heat this year.

Me, too. I sold my small Yeti a while back when the craze was taking off, and I replaced it with a soft side Bison, which stays in my 4x4. The Bison is nice, works well, and is made in the US.

In all seriousness, our archery club has been a dealer for these. So far all reviews have been positive. https://canyoncoolers.com My daughter can deflate your daughter's soccer ball.

I have 2 Extremes and while good they are nowhere near as good as my Canyon. The hinges break pretty easy. While the keep things cold the ice does not stay. Ours gets used most frequently at the zoo for cold stuff when we get back to the car. Full day in the back of an SUV in an uncovered asphalt parking lot on 90+ degree days and ice is still there are and the contents are nice and cold. I am generally lazy and don’t get around unloading until the next afternoon and evening and I’ll still have ICE. If the Coleman’s are left inside they will keep Ice for a little over a day but if outside I have not had extended luck. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. I've got an Ozark Trail from Walmart that is a copy of the Yeti. I have the small one, I think it's 26 quart, and it cost me $74 where the smallest Yeti was in the neighborhood of $200-250. Easy choice for me. It works just as well as the expensive cooler. Here's to the sunny slopes of long ago.

I have had good luck with my Pelican , and they claim it is made in the USA. Currently have 50qt, looking to get a 25qt, as well. This space intentionally left blank.

My brother has an Orion, and is absolutely nuts about it. It's got a lot of well thought out features, and I know it does a great job of keeping ice for several days in the North Carolina summer heat. God bless America.
