It's all I wore before I finally got an Apple watch. I've had several models. I'm a utility/function over form type, so I always got the solar, atomic function.

I have owner 4.

1 - The band broke and face is laying somewhere on a football field in Mineral Wells, WV

2 - Don't recall the model, but my son wanted it and I gave it to him. It's still running

3 and 4 - Model 5081 FDE and camo. Both are still running.

Great watches, rugged, stylish, and great value!!!!

I have been wearing G-Shocks for about 26 years; the only one I ever had an issue with was a Tough Solar. The rechargeable battery went south and I went back to my tried and true 5600e. I now wear an G8000-1v reverse face a lot and my trusty 5600e back and forth.

Not a G-Shock, but my beater watch is a Casio MDV-106 diver. It's been a good durable watch for $50. If the lume was better it would be everything I could ask of a watch.

I have a cheap one as an everyday watch for a few years now. I'm pretty rough on watches but this one seems indestructable. Very happy with it, will buy another if I outlive this one.

Dave,

Do you have a timeline of when you would start carrying them?

I would probably be interested in a Master of G or a ProTrek.

For me, I would generally buy a G-shock over a Luminox. But that's about it.

Would be awesome if you could carry the Casio Oceanus line, those are incredible, but I think they may be restricted to JDM. I've only ever found them on import websites.

You would have my attention, should you start carrying the G-Shock line. I only have one, but it is a lot like guns; you start wanting to explore other models.
I want to move up from the $100 models to the $2-400 models.
Hopefully, you will add the line and make it so much easier to take my money. Wink

The atomic g shock is amazing for corrections, law enforcement, nurses, and EMT's.

I wore one every day of my career and wouldn't wear anything else. Bulletproof, and 100% accurate all day every day, down to the second. Amazing.

If you could convince Apple and Casio to make a G-Shock Apple Watch you wouldnt be able to make enough to keep up with demand. I truly believe that it would be the do all, do everything, never worry about it watch.

I have a solar battery Casio G-Shock that is 15yrs old and is still rocking. Love G-Shocks. Have had a few. This one I actually didn’t wear for a couple of years and recently, couple of months ago, went back to it. Battery was dead. So I sat it in window at house for a couple of days and it took a full charge. Haven’t had any issues with it. I had looked up a battery kit for it but looks like I won’t need it.

Sell them. They will sell.

My son is getting a G shock for his birthday. I just picked up a casio multi function watch (compass, altimeter, all that jazz). It's similar to the g shocks, but without all the rubber (this is titanium). I had one for several years until it got stolen this spring.

The watches do hold up well.

Best watch ever. I wear a Gw6900 everyday. It’s old and it’s never had an issue. Original battery is still at full charge.

I've had the basic model for at least a few years now. I really like it. Before that I had a Timex Expedition analog watch with stainless steel body, which is all scratched up now. My G-Shock looks nearly new. The only change I made was getting the adapters so I could use a nylon NATO watchband (I really don't like resin bands).

Honestly, I think it's the Ford F-150/250 of watches.
They ain't real pretty to some, but they are reliable and durable and get the job done. Not a bad every day watch that you wouldn't think twice if it got beat up.

From a business standpoint, they sell. I don't think that it would be a bad move if you stocked them.

(BTW, I'll be calling you in a few days. I have a Marathon and a Citizen that need some fixin')

It's a no nonsense everyday knock around. Ugly? Of course that's in the eye of the beholder but I find the sear utility they provide brings an odd sort of attraction.

Wore one for a while when I was into outdoor stuff on a regular basis and it served it's purpose. I've moved on to an Apple watch lately as a knock around although it is not nearly as outdoorsy as the G Shock.

I don't know how Casio is as far as dealer relationship, but just about everyone knows what a G Shock is and it would seem a good option to provide to your customers that want to go that direction.

With age, I find their watches increasingly busy and with too much gimmickry. I like the solar and atomic capabilities and the durability. I hate that the time telling aspect is difficult to read and is less than acceptable for night. It’s what led me to Citizen.

Solar atomic are convenient but I think I’m done with casio. It’s a durable time keeper but not really a good time teller for me.
