I'd like to ask the nitwit new Mayor as well as any other politician who is on the Left in Chicago AND any voter who voted for them, how many businesses, how many sports teams, how many PEOPLE leaving Chicago will it take before you realize what you are doing is wrong, how the people you are voting for are the wrong people. I doubt however that could or would answer or even care.

Who is allowed to vote in the Chicago mayoral election? Is it just citizens who live within the Chicago city limits, and if so, what area is covered by the city limits?

I just heard an interview with Charles Lipson. It was good.

The new mayor of Chicago’s ruin

Brandon Johnson is soft on crime and in hock to the public-sector unions

Charles Lipson

Adam Smith once wisely remarked that “there is a great deal of ruin in a nation.” There is much less room for ruin in a city, as Portland, San Francisco and Seattle have proved in recent years, and Detroit, Memphis and Gary, did even earlier. Now, Chicago has decided to join that dismal parade.

The Windy City was already marching toward the abyss under its outgoing mayor, Lori Lightfoot. She was elected four years ago with over three-quarters of the vote. This year, she got so few votes in the first primary (about one sixth) that...

The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

This is a map of Chicago and how the vote went by area.
I live in the very far NW corner of the city. As can be seen, my area went for Vallas.

No. Just people that live in the city.

The Cities of Norridge and Harwood Heights are surrounded by the city of Chicago, but they have their own mayors.

Unfortunately, a lot and I mean A LOT of our bullshit bleeds out into the surrounding suburbs.

And I dont know how many other hundreds of crimes in suburbs during the past lightfoot years were committed by the lovely denizens of Chicago.

I'd like to thank those assholes on the North East side, along the lake... The ones that are already being hammered by crime. Well, they're "woke", now they can choke on it.

Correct. Note the lollipop cutout for O’Hare International Airport which is completely surrounded by other municipalities except for the lollipop’s stick that connects it to Chicago.

So, that, of course, is the reason why the election went the way it did.

That was me, for a while. For a short time (less than a year), around 1975, my lovely lady and I lived in Malibu East.

I grew up in the City and my family later moved to the suburbs. Republican all the way in the suburbs. Chicago is surrounded by some pretty wealthy enclaves called villages.

When I watched his speech I couldn't help but think that he has a larger agenda. You can't have Wakanda with white people in your kingdom. I used to never subscribe to conspiracy theories, but lately a lot of them are turning out to be quite accurate.

If you listen carefully, you'll hear the beginning of a large sucking sound as businesses, jobs, and tax revenues circle the drain and GTFO. Good luck with those underfunded pension obligations.

And for the minority (whites) that are home owners and productive, law abiding citizens, don't bother putting your wallet away in your hip pocket, you will be constantly paying for everything for all those (the majority) that tear it down and contribute nothing.
We are there BITCH now!
