Johnson, and it's at the same or slightly faster rate.

Vallas, and it's going to take longer, he might be able to really slow the downward spiral, but he aint stoppin it.

I'm not sure that there is anyone that could or would want to step in and try to fix Chicago. After 90+ years of democratic policies and rules, it'll take decades to fix.

As a matter of fact, I've stated several times in this forum that the only way things can ever get better in these cites is if they get far worse. It has to be this way, because these places are run by leftists, and leftist policies are pure insanity, so there's no reasoning with them.

Things have to get so bad that martial law will be declared and these cities occupied by the National Guard indefinitely. This is the only chance to save these places.

The problem is that even when you think the city can't sink lower, there always seems to be a new low and the rock bottom part that we NEED never seems to materialize. The National Guard would be a disaster as well, since the mayor would have to give up governmental control of the city and then Pritzker would have control. The city is a cancer and needs to be removed from the state in order for Illinois to survive. A complete forensic audit of all of Chicago's books needs to be done. All departments and organizations need to be completely redone. Even if this was done, the people conducting the audit would have to be above reproach and unbuyable so that a true accounting of it is really addressed. Of all the things I'm sure of, this will never happen.

Most awesome. Unfortunately, the prognosis is not good for the city of Chicago.

As a Chicago native I was well acquainted with patronage and the importance of your relationship with the ward alderman. I remember when John Kass asked people to send him the names of those employees with no show jobs. I am old enough to remember Mike Royko and his book about Daley. We complained about things then, but crime was down and people were happier.

Yeah, how many of these 4 year disasters can a city like Chicago handle & still bounce back?

It’s like San Francisco now, riding Ozzie’s crazy train to destruction.

Ok, so should we start a pool as to which position she gets in the Biden administration? She's as qualified as Jennifer Grandholm or Mayor Pete. I'm thinking she checks all the right boxes for Supreme Court Justice.

I have to go and throw up now.

Where's your white flag?

Point me to any evidence you have of Lightfoot being offered anything, anywhere.

If you're going to try to turn victory into defeat- and that is what you're doing- you should run a white flag up the pole.

If the people of Shitcago are truly fed up with their lot with leftist leadership, they need to do more like this gentleman- MAKE their voices heard. Demand airtight voting with proof of ID (the same can be said anywhere in the country) to remove voter fraud from the equation. Even third world countries that still have legitimate elections require some kind of ID. And for the record, nobody here illegally to include democRAT/globalist allowed infiltrators that have been given an ID are allowed to vote.

Nope.
She ain't shit. Accidental Mayor. She won by accident, and was the lessor of two evils in the election with Preckwinkle.

She can't be trusted by "The Machine". She tossed a few of them under the bus, didn't look out for some that she showed have.

SCOTUS? AW HELL NO!
Why? Well, for starters, no one has asked important questions yet. "Why is it a FORMER AUSA?" Would be one of those important questions. It might get a job at a law office somewhere.

War ain't over yet!

An important BATTLE was won in the primary.
The next battle that needs to be won is getting rid of Johnson.

Yes, lightfoot was inept and a radical. Pay attention to Johnson- he's worse.

I had this discussion last week in the office with some of the bigger bosses on CPD. We pretty much all agree that if Johnson wins, this place is going to look like the last hours at the Embassy in Vietnam or at the Kabul Airport.

At least assclown brown (FORMER Chicago Police Superintendent) is gone!!!! YAAAYYYYYY!!!

And for the Texas contingent here on Sig Forum: Stay away from the law office of Loncar Lyon Jenkins! That's where assclown is going to be working next.

That law office has some deep dark secrets and a rather iffy relationship with ethics. Brown knew the principals of the firm when he was DPD chief, and he'll fit right in.

Remember the last helicopter out of the Embassy in Vietnam?
Remember the scene at the Kabul Airport not that long ago?

Chicago is going to look like that real soon...

The technical term is: "We're FUCKED"

I think Chicago doesn’t like Portland & Seattle getting all the attention. The new mayor plans to show how it’s really done.

Some indicate he will be worse than Beetlejuice.

Every time there is a Mayoral election in Chicago, we end up with a new Mayor who is worse than his or hers predecessor. It started with Mayor Jane Byrne and has gone downhill ever since. The day will come when the citizens in Chicago will reminisce about the Lightfoot days. Think Portland, SF, Baltimore are bad? You ain't seen nothing yet.

Based on this article: https://www.politico.com/news/...ace-results-00090504

The new mayor is a progressive to the left of Lightfoot.

Let me help you out. Which way did you come in?

Sorry guys. Sucks when you have a choice between bad and worse, and the idiot voters pick worse. Maybe it's time to move a few miles east...we've still got rights and freedom, as well as a balanced budget, over here in Indiana. Lots of agencies hiring, too, and they like laterals.
