I have a range with several MGM targets. I can shoot up to 240 yards. It's not exactly Mid-South but it works for me.

I have some better pics somewhere. This is the only one I could locate.

This pic shows the difference between a Model 870 and Benelli M4 at 12 yards using Federal field loads. You can guess which targets were shot with the Benelli. Wink

No formal range but I shoot here. Pics wouldn't be any use unless you like trees.

My buddy was selling his 100 acres Texas Hill Country ranch a few years ago. I visited it before it sold, and I got to check out its 1,000 yard range.

On the shooting end, he had cargo containers with different shooting positions. I seem to remember there was even a deck.

My biggest take was that even though I’ve seen plenty of 1,000 yard ranges on TV, experiencing one in person was too neato!

I was company high shooter with my M-16 A1 in USMC bootcamp, shooting open sights at 500 meters, but 1,000 yards was crazy far to me. I couldn’t imagine engaging targets that far.

I’ve always wanted at least a 20 yard home range, but my wife doesn’t want to go back to the country where we would surely be back on a septic system , which she wasn’t fond of.

Not now. Kind of did when I lived in the "hood in Oakland. Maybe not a real range, but there was a lot of shooting going on.

Yes if you want to sight in, pop a few off. Probably will have a problem with a full range day.

Not really-
A good friend of mine, and one of the CPD range instructors lives about 2 blocks from me.
+/- 270 yds. He’s a really good spotter Big Grin

I have a 100yd range at the property in GA. No backstop, just hundreds of yards of woods behind it.

We rarely shot that far when I lived there. Most often 25 yards or so.

GA was the least favorite place we lived. Maybe it’s just Augusta. I’ll likely keep the land until after I retire and see if it’s worth making a winter cabin or selling.

Eight years to retirement! Just waiting!
