I wore Oakleys for years and was happy with them, just haven’t cared for the styling the last few years. I’ve got a pair of Maui Jims now and they’re aw-iight. Seriously thinking of buying a pair of Persols now. I know from the watch threads that members here aren’t afraid to spend the money for quality. Experience with Persols? Recommendations on lens color (I lean toward classic green).

Your favorite sunglasses. Sorry, if you buy a pair off the spinning rack at WalMart, I’m not interested.

I like Vaurnet. I've had the older version of this for about four years.

Don't forget about Rayban, they have good glass and some good classic styles.

Costa del Mar have incredible lenses. They aren't quite as trendy-looking as some brands, but the lens quality is amazing for the price.

I've been using 5.11 sunglasses for years. I like the wraparound type, as sometimes I have to use mace, and they help prevent over spray.

In 10 years, I've had four pair. First one my son broke. Next pair I lost in the ocean. Third pair just were a little too scratched up, and I'm currently on my 4th.

If I lose another pair, I will order again.

They are built in partnership with Wiley-X, and meet or exceed ANSI standards.

I wear Persol sunglasses...2803 to be exact. The quality is great as is the lens clarity. Definitely find a local dealer or use an online retailer with free returns. Persol uses heavy acetate plastic frames and crystal lenses. There will be quite a weight difference from a typical set of Oakley glasses. Try a few models to get a good fit to your face and eye separation as some of their temple sections are quite wide. I think you will be pleased with their fit and quality.

I have Maui Jim with the titanium ribbon frames. Love them. I would also consider Costa, and have had good luck with both Bolle and Vaurnet in the past.

I've worn Oakley, Ray-Ban, Wiley-X and probably a couple other brands. The only ones I still have and use daily are Bolle. They are tough, the lenses do not get scratched up like the other brands and they fit perfectly. I have a pair that's over 10 years old that I thought I lost so I ordered a replacement pair of this model.

After I had the new ones and wore them for about a month I found the old pair in a jacket pocket Roll Eyes , so now I have a spare!

I have nothing to offer but am watching this thread closely. Do any of you have any experience with Eagle Eyes? If so, how are they? I specifically need yellow lense. I am going to look into the ones already mentioned.

I tried leaving Oakley for Maui Jim but every Maui Jim has a strange yellow tint for me. I'm back with Oakley. I have about 3 pairs that I rotate through.

They are all normal looking, Splinter, Tinfoil, Carbon Blade.

I saw just hold out until Oakley comes out with a style more to your liking. They are coming out with stuff all the time. I always buy on clearance from an outlet or when the website is running a sale. I got my Polarized Carbon Blades for like $100 and they were over $400 when they came out.
