I’ve been wearing Native sunglasses for close to ten years now. Lifetime warranty. I’ve been thoroughly impressed.

Best sunglasses I ever had were Vuarnets. IMO they have the best glass out there. Unfortunately, one winter morning a few years ago I went to put them on and snapped them in half. They did give me nearly 20 years of good service though.

Unfortunately, I just don't care for any of their current frames as far as I can tell off of their website. There aren't many retailers for them these days either, so trying them on before buying is difficult. Amazon works, but it's a PITA to keep sending things back.

Currently I'm wearing a pair of Bolle's and am happy with them. Light, comfortable, good fit, and my preferred amber lenses. I prefer glass lenses as opposed to plastic, but until something better comes along, these work well.

The best value I've found in sunglasses are Suncloud. Made by Polaroid, they have excellent lenses and frames and cost less than $100.

Have been a longtime Oakley wearer but began trying Costa’s last year. Very impressed with their lenses. Have a frameless polycarbonate lens pair for daily drivers and glass 580G lens pair for fishing.

I love my Persols. I have a couple pairs of Costas and have Ray Bans but the Persol glass is great. My Costas are poly lenses so hard to compare but the Persols are very clear, polarization is great and the glass has held up well over 2+ years or so. Styling is about as good as it gets, imo, but that is a matter of opinion of course. My only complaint would be that they are not made to stay up on your nose if you're sweating... but I wear my costas for any sweaty activities.

Are they heavy? Ray Ban aviators, back when I wore them, would definitely slide down my nose. That’s what drove me to Oakleys

So.... over the years I have had all the big $$$ shades. Oakley, Ray-Ban, Gargoyles, Maui Jim. etc.
Then I started looking at ANSI and other ratings for sunglasses and found that most brands of ordinary safety glasses meet the same ratings as the big $$$ shades. Now I wear Uvex Genesis bi-focal safety glasses most of the time and I also wear bi-focal Olympic safety shades. I have a couple pair of the Crossfires, too. And the cost is less than 20 bucks per pair. Now I keep several extra pair handy. And most people cant tell these low cost shades from the big names.
My go to vendor is:
www.safetyglassesusa.com.
Veteran owned and great to do business with. They sell the high end stuff too.

Costa Cayan

I wore Bolle for years, Oakley before that, and these Costa's are the best sunglasses I've ever had. Four years on this pair. Beach vacations, roller coasters, mountain biking, you name it. Barely a scratch.

I'd buy a 2nd pair in a heartbeat if I lost these.

A friend became a Revo rep right out of college. I still have a few pairs from the early 90's. No complaints.

Polarized, and impact protection, not the Wal-Mart rack, but also not ridiculously expensive:

I discovered Suncloud sunglasses when I was in Hawaii. They ran about 50 bucks and I actually had a Maui Jim sales rep admit the polarization was just as good as Mauis.

Fwiw, Persol just really isn't comparable to all of the "sporty" sunglass makers. The styling is completely different. They are generally a much more style-oriented line. I wouldn't want a pair of Persols to be my only pair of glasses. But I wear my Persols 5-6 days of the week.

And yes, Sunclous are great sport sunglasses. I like them a lot.

There is no comparison between Suncloud and Maui Jim's. Suncloud sunglasses aren't bad, I have a few pair, but the quality between them and a brand like Maui Jim is like night and day.

Another vote for Serengeti sunglasses with "driver" lenses. Been wearing them in the cockpit for over 20 years. Unfortunately I lost my first pair when I left them in the cockpit and someone helped themselves to them. I hope they're enjoying them...
