I was 4. I remember my dad saying "shit they have shot the President". Then, he grabbed his mobility bag, and was gone for a while.

It was my senior year and they announced it over the loudspeaker system at lunch time. It was one of those events in history that you will never forget where you were at the time.

I saw a movie on Amazon Prime: Parkland.
It is a depiction of what happened at Parkland Hospital when JFK arrived there for treatment. It was an interesting and different take on the JFK story. And the Zapruder film. I dont how how historically accurate the film is. Its worth a look.

I was in the 1st quarter of my freshman year in college in class. The classroom was about half empty, ten minutes in the prof hadn't showed up so we started to mill out. A girl, office worker, student I have no idea, came in and said that all classes were cancelled, the president had been shot-and left. No tears, no excitement, just news at 10:10. Outside the building was different, lots of tears and lost looks.

I certainly do, I was doing prep for an exam in evening classes when the tutor walked in with dazed look on his face. 'Somebody has shot President Kennedy' was all he said, and sat down. His wife was American. All I recall thinking about was what happens now?

I was in my 3rd grade class at Edward A White elementary school on Ft. Benning. The intercom came on and told all teachers to report to the office immediately and all students to remain in their classrooms. Several minutes later my father walked into my classroom to get me for a scheduled early leave. On the way out saw teachers headed back to their classrooms crying. My dad told me what had happened.

I was in 7th grade and attending Shop Class at the time. Out instructor wrote a note on the blackboard about JFK being assassinated and dismissed our class for the day. I walked home, about five blocks, and told my father about what had happened in Dallas. He was unaware.

I had just started college and I was out road hunting pheasants and I happened to cross paths with a classmate who he told me the news.

I liked JFK.

I was two and a half. I don't remember a thing about that day, but my mom kept a journal for me.

Let's see- 11/22/1963...

OK, here we go:

"My dog is brown"

"I like cookies"

"I made potty!"

Ha, that's cute.

Wait, what's this here, scribbled in the margin? It's hard to read. It says "Umbrella Man knows all."

What the Hell???

Freshman at University of Arkansas, was in the student union and some of my friends told me what was going on. Some students were distraught but most seemed to take it in stride. I remember going to my classes the rest of the day as if nothing happened.

Don't forget that he declared that we would put a man on the moon, thus starting our space program.

I was a little over two years old, so no memory of him.

JFK was the face, the standard-bearer for the Democrat Party for decades through the 70s, 80s, and 90s, November 22nd was always a big deal. And now, he is hardly mentioned anymore, he is no longer the prime example of the party, it seems he is basically forgotten in today's political world.

Sadly, his passing lead to having one of our worst Presidents.

The Great Society and a tremendous expansion of the welfare system and government in many areas. The unintended consequences have led to many of the problems we face today.

The Tonkin Gulf Resolution that lead to a major escalation of the Vietnam conflict.

...started the Interstate system, before that we just had state highways.

...he realized the the SVN government was much disliked, and decided to get out of their civil war.

No, the CIA screwed the Cuban Patriots. They fed Kennedy a bunch of BS, just like the FBI does now.
