What changed?

This behavior is not acceptable now, and I assume it wasn't when you were in.

Now, IF they gave her a slap on the hand and didn't hammer her hard for this, then I would complain and bring out all the "Back in my day harrumph harrumph!/Get off my lawn" diatribes. . .

She just volunteered as Tribute.

I cannot imagine any scenario by which she stays in uniform.

There have always been some feces birds in the armed services. Its how they are dealt with that counts.

So.. having never been a Navy guy, I was wondering if keelhauling is still an option here? Wink

Every branch of the service has these kinds of individuals. Some learn to change. There are still plenty of administrative discharges. The standards for various branches go up and down depending on the needs.

Just what exactly are you trying to prove with this kind of post?

That in the modern day military they don’t hold people accountable for this kind of bs. Also being a female will help her get away with it. It’s so PC and full of liberals these days that I won’t be the least bit surprised if she gets a pass.

Keep your cynicism to yourself. Y'know, man, dire predictions and "we're all fucked" comments are a dime a dozen in this world. You're not being insightful. You're just being a drag. It's BORING. Save it for some other forum.

Dishonorable Discharges are for major felonies.
Bad Conduct Discharges are For major military infractions and civilian misdemeanor acts.

Had a case like this. snuffy assaulted a soldier and JAG wouldn’t prosecuted.

The soldier ended up before the Brigade Commander. Field Grade Article 15. Snuffy thought he got over. Then my fellows First Sergeant dropped the hammer. The Commander asked “Is there anything else?” My buddy smiled and pulled out Chapter 10 paperwork. That’s an administrative discharge under other then honorable condition.

Snuffy was then escorted to out processing. Once done, he was escorted off post. I learned a lot from that First Sergeant.

During my time with SAC, there was this deal called the Human Reliability Program. It was a way of monitoring the people who were in close proximity to the nukes. Lots of people ran afoul of HRP and were gone ASAP. Like right this very minute. Had this Swabbie pulled this stunt and was in the HRP, she would have been gone.
I dont know if USAF has a similar program today. I would think the Navy has or had something similar.

She’ll likely get a DRB. Perhaps a mast.

More than likely it would be more for her aggressive behavior and demonstrating in uniform than for her actual comments.

Will depend entirely on which side her CoC leans.

It may cost her a rank but at a minimum she’s ignorant and give her enough time she’ll be a chief telling people what to do

Biggest problem is she’ll be seen as a hero to MANY of her coworkers who are equally as ignorant to what it means to wear a uniform or even be an adult

Disciplinary Review Board. At a DRB, Chiefs (Navy E7/E8/E9) listen to Sailors' cases and recommend if the case should be handled by an executive officer inquiry (XOI), a non-judicial punishment (NJP), or be dismissed. Chiefs also inform the Sailor of rights and accusations, and make recommendations for punishment which must be approved by the executive officer, of course the CO can override all that and say bring her straight to me now.

I'd LOVE to be a fly on the wall in that DRB, especially when someone would say, "Let's go to the instant replay video". Any way they could sell tickets??? Smile

Yeah, that would be interesting.

Prosecution: "Exhibit A" (shows video). "I rest my case."
