I take 16 different supplements and avoid doctors like the pleage
Healthy as a horse.
once you start ,keep it up,take supplement up ,take at the time you retire!
Not saying it is wrong anytime but nite gives your body time to get the most from the supplement you just spent your hard money from it.Supplement are not cheep.
The fact this works for me should not be your guide. It just works for me .
Side note;I have had my balls busted by family and friends about this very subject many times,
Mr bendable, they are gone to their makers, family and friends.
I am still here, sharp as a tack, mobile and do what the hell I desire on a daily basic,s.
I some times question why the hell I am still here.
He never answers, family and friends are gone.
lonely ,not looking for new, afraid my friendship will shorten their lives.

He has a plan and it will be for fielded.

I use it, for me it’s 2 5mg gummies-target quit making the quick dissolve ones.
20 min before bed,
Go to bed,
Play solitaire on my iPad for 10-15 min
And I sleep almost all night unless I have to pee.

Mrs. Mike uses it infrequently.

The Tomminator (17) uses it occasionally.

I’ve found it shuts off the business in my brain (Tommy says the same)

Melatonin never did anything for me; but my reading indicates doses should be much lower, probably 1-2 mg, definitely not 5 or 10.

I finally found a sleep med that is perfect for me, but it requires another doc to prescribe as it is controlled drug (stupid because no risk of abuse): it's called lemborexant, brand name Dayvigo. In same class (dual orexin receptor antagonist, or DORA) as Belsomra, which most people haven't heard of.

I don't understand why docs don't prescribe this class more UpToDate recommends as safer than "Z-drugs" like zolpidem for older patients. It not only helps promote falling asleep, but sustaining sleep. If I don't take at bedtime I wake up at 3:30 am. I take half a tab, read for a bit, get sleepy and sleep until 8 am, with no drowsiness when I wake up.

If you have any aches and pains have you tried something like Tylenol PM? It works on occasions when I’m a little achey..

I take 3mg when I need to sleep, I have experienced no side effects.

The guy that sells these is my dr. And I used his. They are pricey but I do not use them often.

A friend of mine just retired and no longer has to worry about random drug tests. He takes the CBD gummies and says they work great.

What's causing it? Stress?

Seriously tried it three time over the years, up to 10mg. Did NOTHING.

300-400 mg Magnesium helps a little, especially my restless legs.

Melatonin does either nothing for me or knocks me out but gives me some crazy dreams sometimes. CBD works wonders though. I highly recommend it.

Tried a few different variants. Currently taking Walgreens dissolving tablets in 5mg. Usually fall asleep reasonably quickly and can fall back asleep quick if I wake up. Did 10mg for a while and that put my out lightening fast and gave me some wild dreams.

The best thing I've done in a while for my sleep quality is a new pillow. https://pillow-haven.com

I have never fallen asleep so quickly and this is the first time in I don't know how long I could sleep on my side.

I take 20 mg of melatonin to help me sleep sometimes. Working nights and good sleep aren't good partners. I never wake up with a hangover from it.
A muscle relaxer, on the other hand, will put me out like a light and give me 7-8 hours sleep but I wake up feeling like I was doing keg stands.

Here's to the sunny slopes of long ago.

I’ve taken between 5 & 7.5mg for DECADES. (Natrol dissolvable tablets sold at Costco, Safeway, Frys etc)
No ill effects and I sleep well.
Tylenol PM is just acetaminophen with Benadryl added. You can save A LOT of money just buying the generic ingredients separately.

CBD doesn’t do shit for me. I have had liquid, (tastes like a cow graising in a field), capsules and gummies.
Not a single one affects me at all, even at higher dosages.
We all handle RX’s and OTC stuff differently.

When I worked nights, I would sometimes take it. It gave me strange dreams and I'd wake up feeling like I hadn't slept well. Other people in my family have taken it with no problem.

I take 10mg and it works well, but I also stick by the 10-2-2-1 rules for better sleep. It all works for me.
