The Wall Street Journal ran a story yesterday headlined, “Robert Kennedy Jr. Files to Run for President as a Democrat.” Well, he would, wouldn’t he, because he’s been a lifelong democrat and comes from a family of lifelong democrats, but whatever.

Check out the Journal’s sobering sub-headline: “The scion of the Kennedy family is a known Covid-19 vaccine skeptic.”

Bwahahahaha! See what they did there? I don’t mean smearing him as a vaccine skeptic, which he’s been for AGES. The covid jabs were just the latest disaster as far as Robert Kennedy goes. I’m talking about the prefix the journal added right BEFORE calling him a vaccine skeptic.

He’s a KNOWN vaccine skeptic! As opposed to the secret kind, who lurk around in back alleys waiting to catch you by yourself to fill your head with anti-pharmaceutical lies! Sometimes you can just TELL, just by looking at someone, that they harbor dangerous anti-vaccine thoughts. Their beady eyes are a little unfocused, dreamy perhaps, often staring off into the sky like they’re imagining a dystopian Heaven without needles. But you must be vigilant! Anti-vaxxing ideas spread faster than the Delta variant. All too often, you can’t tell for sure until a person outs themselves. Your own neighbor could be a secret anti-vaxxer, no matter how many times you make them swear on the jabs.

But Robert Kennedy, Jr., well, he created an anti-vaxx foundation and has even written books! THAT guy is an anti-vaxxer for sure. It’s KNOWN.

Anyway, Kennedy filed the paperwork yesterday. His father was Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy, and he’s former President John F. Kennedy’s nephew. So he has the democrats’ favorite credentials: royal bloodline.

In March, Kennedy tweeted his one and only statement — so far — about his intended campaign platform. He said, “If I run, my top priority will be to end the corrupt merger between state and corporate power that has ruined our economy, shattered the middle class, polluted our landscapes and waters, poisoned our children, and robbed us of our values and freedoms.”

Sounds like a pretty typical democrat platform to me. I mean, it WOULD HAVE BEEN a pretty typical democrat platform, before they went with “anybody can be a woman!”

While the Journal dismissively labeled Kennedy’s entrance a “long shot,” I disagree. You can’t beat Kennedy’s liberal bona fides. They’ll try to smear him as a conservative with the “anti-vaxxer” tag but that’s misreading the room. There are a LOT of democrats who are also unhappy about jab mandates. Maybe not a majority, but I’d wager it’s an impressive part of the base.

Kennedy’s run has no downside. Worst case, his stock still rises and his message gets more attention. When he loses the primary, he could shift and run as an independent. His campaign would draw Biden voters.

For a happy thought today, imagine the Biden — Kennedy primary debates.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Which the left needs now that the Covid and Vaccine mandates have failed, and that almost every voter has dropped that as a primary issue.

They need a candidate that will lead the D party away from that narrative now that it's gone, if he wins the D nomination he can run on that and deflect the R attacks against the atrocity that the lefts politicians pushed.

They need him to split that middle vote and use the Kennedy name to associate with as he'd come across as moderate.

Question is, will the media, far left members of the party and vaxxers support this agenda

How many times has a candidate from a sitting party's president gone against the president and won?
And if they won the primary have they won the White House?

I'm sick of political dynasties in our government.

Kennedys, Bushs, Cheneys, Clintons, Huntchinsons, etc treat elected office as if it is their birthright.

I'd much rather a rule that says if your grandparents, parents, siblings, or children get themselves elected, the other members of that immediate family would be forever barred fromelected office.

You will need a Constitutional amendment for that:

No person except a natural born citizen , or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty five years , and been fourteen Years a resident within the United States.

The vast majority of Democrats have long forgotten John F. Kennedy and Bobby Kennedy. There used to be a time when the party would invoke JFK in their speeches and policies, for decades, he was the standard bearer. The media would remember Nov. 22nd. Not anymore. But he would would roll over in his grave the way his party has embraced criminals and communists.

RFK has some kooky beliefs. But he’s always struck me as at least an intellectually honest liberal. I’d rather have that than a hypocritical commie dem. I’m Not going to vote for him either way.

I’m less concerned about a family member that actually fools enough people to get elected than I am about all the corruption that then occurs. Crackhead Biden Jr exposes a lot of the pay for access of family and he’s just too stupid to not get caught.

I’d rather see a law that says no immediate family member (child, grandchild, sibling, parent or even first cousin of the elected) can be a lobbyist, registered foreign agent, board member or other insider of any company public or private that has any business with ANY level of .gov. And then add it for say 10 years after and during the time the elected person is in office. Any elected person from president to congress down to your local town dog catcher. I’m done with reading about story after story where after a small investigation a governmental no bid contract was given to the county or state whatever was given to their brother in law. Don’t like it ? Becuase you run a good company ? Tell your worthless family member not to run for office if you don’t like it.

Don’t get me started with the using of campaign funds to pay family members for “consulting” or other do nothing campaign jobs

60th anniversary of his death coming this year. He could get some traction from that.

@RobertKennedyJr

The Fed just announced it will introduce its “FedNow” Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) in July. CBDCs grease the slippery slope to financial slavery and political tyranny.

While cash transactions are anonymous, a #CBDC will allow the government to surveil all our private financial affairs. The central bank will have the power to enforce dollar limits on our transactions restricting where you can send money, where you can spend it, and when money expires.

A CBDC tied to digital ID and social credit score will allow the government to freeze your assets or limit your spending to approved vendors if you fail to comply with arbitrary diktats, i.e. vaccine mandates.

The Fed will initially limit its CBDC to interbank transactions but we should not be blind to the obvious danger that this is the first step in banning and seizing bitcoin as the Treasury did with gold 90 years ago today in 1933.

Watch as governments, which never let a good crisis go to waste, use Covid-19 and the banking crisis to usher in a new wave of CBDCs as a safe haven from germ-laden paper currencies or as protection against bank runs.

JFK would be too conservative to be a democrat today! That whole 'Ask not what your Country can do for you...' business is certainly NOT what today's dems are asking. They ALL have their hands out to receive their 'entitlements'!

I'm hoping for the same.
I don't expect that RFK Jr. can win the Dem nomination, but he could bring them a little sanity.

^^ I'm a little more vindictive than that. I'm kinda giggly over the idea of Biden sitting there and watching RFK JR do a far better job of channeling JFK than Biden ever managed to do either back when he was younger or now. I'll be looking for signs that Biden is eating his heart out if such a debate ever happens.

Hillsdale College, which is in my backyard has been inviting potential and declared candidates for POTUS to come and speak. This included RFK jr.

We attended the event because hey I grew up with the Kennedy's Five minutes into this guys mumbling speech, I told my wife "this guy is a total loon" I figure the DNC is promoting him to make Brandon look good.
