I still believe not all these wack jobs are "voted" in. I think many are installed through the cheat. Everybody just assumes it's everyone else who votes these people in. Although I have not heard Trump talk about it recently we need to get as much of the cheat out of the vote as possible. Arrests and hard time for those who are found guilty of voter fraud needs to be instituted. There is nothing more important.

I've lived in California my entire life and this is 100%.

Look at an election map. The majority of this state geographically is conservative...it always has been. Only the coastal counties tend to vote Democrat. Those are also the counties that make cheating easy. The California Democratic Party has turned voter fraud into a fine art in this state and the RNC just keeps ignoring us.

Slowly, little by little in the past fifteen years, the Democrats have changed our election laws. You CANNOT show ID at polling station. I took my California driver's license out and had it in my hand in 2020 when I asked for my in-person ballot to vote and was told I needed to put it away. They mail out ballots to every person in the state and you can only return them through US Mail or at a "drop box." They now make it extremely difficult to vote in person and if you do they forbid ID. Talk about making cheating easy...

I've said it here before and I'll say it again:
There is no way Newsom legitimately won in the recall. No way.

The man is universally reviled in this state, not only by conservatives, but by far left liberals and minority communities as well. Nobody can stand him. The only people that voted for him are upper middle class white people in their late 60's and early 70's that live in coastal counties, religiously watch MSNBC and drive EV's. They are the same idiots that repeatedly put Nancy Pelosi in office.

I truly pray that this is a wakeup call for enough people and that Trump and his administration can help fix our electoral process in this state. I have a strong suspicion, especially based upon Prop 36 numbers, that had it been an honest election this year Trump would have won California handily. But when everyone in Colma votes Democrat (it's a local joke as Colma is only cemeteries) and pics our "leaders" it's difficult to see a way out of this mess.

Trump ought to tie aid to election reform. paper ballots, same day results, I.d. proof. bright sunshine on the process. rats would never win another election.

LA County Fire did a great job on this one. Im 4 miles east of the fire, 1 zone away from evac warning. One of, if not the most impressive air attack Ive ever seen in my career. We lucked out that most resources were already on stand by. We had 3 C130s from PT Mugu, 2 DC10s, a few other fixed wings, the Canadian super scoopers (callsign Quebec 1,2,etc) plus almost a dozen copters from around the county and state. The winds were tough at 15-20mph today, but they didnt hinder the air ops. So far no reported major structural losses.

New growing fire Laguna. 2 to 15 acres in just a few minutes.

ETA: Now mostly out; however, I was watching one of the better news helos head for the barn due to the winds getting beyond their safe maximum for helo operations.

KevH is correct, the Dems in California have stealing down to a fine art. Probably not much will change unless 80% of the voters kick the Dems out, or changes are forced on a federal level.

Arizona firefighters enlisted to fight brushfires on federal taxpayers/Native Americans' dime, while California polticians earmark $50 million to fight federal policies? Total bullshit and we shouldn't be putting up with it. They can spend their own dollars on politics, if they can't prioritize the billions in CA taxpayer dollars.

Go ahead Newscum. Play that game.

See if LA gets prompt financial assistance rebuilding.

I'd tell Newscum that the funds for rebuilding had to be diverted to the Department of Justice and the Solicitor General's office to fund the legal defense against lawsuits filed by California or a California county or a city against the USG.

I use Watch Duty; it's an iPhone/iPad app with all the information I need about local and state fires. Highly recommend it.
I enjoy clicking on the icons of the firefighting aircraft (the icon of a Chinook has two rotors, for example). These are the so far unsung heroes of this horrendous fire season.
Videos show precise drops of fire retardant over flames despite high speed winds; a DC-10 practically doing "nap of the earth" over the fires.
I certainly hope that Mike Johnson and Trump exact significant changes in fire prevention and water conservation from California in exchange for federal aid. If they don't like it, screw 'em, let them face the voters after turning it down.

Too bad newscum can’t be deported instead, preferably with a HANO (High Altitude Never Opening) drop, perhaps in the waters off Mexico so that the sharks, eels, and barracudas can handle the cleanup. Sigh, even if something that awesome happened, the brain dead majority of CA voters just elect someone worse.

Thanks for the heads-up on this app. I see to in order to track aircraft, it’s a somewhat spendy subscription upgrade. Still looks good though.

If you want to track aircraft, take a look at flightradar24. I don’t know if it allows tracking in areas other than where you are (probably) or how to go about doing that, but my son uses the heck out of it to see who is around and what they’re up to.

I have FlightAware also, and it also shows details on aircraft; but I prefer Watch Duty for the fires as all the information is in the one app.
Yes I do subscribe. Live in an area devastated by fire in 2003--greatest loss of structures in California until this year's, I believe.
A neighbor on the Fire Prevention board says SD is vastly better off in technology, comms, everything now compared with 2003, in which she lost her house.

News update:
Rain predicted for Saturday and Sunday in San Diego; Sunday and Monday in Santa Clarita. Hopefully not so much as to cause mudslides. Less than an inch, I think.

This free website: globe.adsbexchange.com, offers an incredible amount of information for planes flying around the world. It also has the ability to show historical data as well, so if you want to see what was flying around a month ago, you can.

I was traveling home from San Diego Wednesday when this one broke out. We got past the fire maybe 20 min before they shut down I5. CHP was shutting down off ramps near Castaic as we passed.
