I usually take my coffee black, whether it's from the technivorm or the nespresso. Looking for a change of pace, it seems that adding cinnamon or nutmeg is popular. I tried cinnamon. I don't get it. It doesn't dissolve and it tends to just either stick to the sides of the mug or clump up. I end up drinking / chewing clumps of cinnamon at the end. Either I'm doing it wrong or I just don't find the appeal. I'll try nutmeg hopefully with better results. "Wrong does not cease to be wrong because the majority share in it." Try putting a few pieces of broken up cinnamon stick in the brewing basket with your coffee, not ground sprinked in your cup. | |||

I drink coffee black 99% of the time. But in the winter I do like to add Nestle's hot chocolate mix, and a bit of sugar. I have also added maple syrup, and malted milk. I can't drink regular hot chocolate anymore, it has to have coffee in it. "We've done four already, but now we're steady..." | |||

I add a sprinkle of cinnamon to the portafilter (on top of the grounds). Seems to do the trick | |||

Cardamom. Makes it taste like a Turkish coffee. Quite good. Put it in the grounds as it brews. A little goes a long way. I am a weak man when it comes to how I like my coffee. I usually doll it up pretty good with a fancy creamer, as I can't stomach it naturally. My son likes a strong black coffee and occasionally he will put in a little spiced caramel for flavor. | |||
