I got it on my AT&T phone but not on my Verizon phone, both Samsung. No. Not sure how they send it but it was not a text. It was an alert that showed up on your screen along with an alert tone. I can see it now under notifications(iPhone) but it doesn't show up in my text messages. I did not get it. I have Amber Alerts and weather alerts disabled on my phone though so not completely surprised. | |||

I got the alert as a notification later, but my phone never buzzed. every article said it would sound no matter what, even though I keep my phone and watch on silent. Never went off for me; I just saw it later when I was clearing notifications. ____________________________ While you may be able to get away with bottom shelf whiskey, stay the hell away from bottom shelf tequila. - FishOn | |||

Like previously stated, it came through as an Amber Alert, so if you have them disabled on your phone, you would not have gotten the Presidential alert message. | |||

I have Amber Alerts disabled, but can't disable Presidential Alerts. My phone, an LG, has a separate app for emergency alerts. My wife's iPhone on the same carrier did not get it. | |||
