TXJIMI got it on my AT&T phone but not on my Verizon phone, both Samsung. My wife did not get it on her Verizon iPhone 8 either.

DMFI got an "alert" not a regular text message, similar to how "Amber Alerts" come through.

No. Not sure how they send it but it was not a text. It was an alert that showed up on your screen along with an alert tone. I can see it now under notifications(iPhone) but it doesn't show up in my text messages. Seems to be delivered the same way amber alerts are done.

MikitoI did not get it. I have Amber Alerts and weather alerts disabled on my phone though so not completely surprised.

PorterNI got the alert as a notification later, but my phone never buzzed. every article said it would sound no matter what, even though I keep my phone and watch on silent. Never went off for me; I just saw it later when I was clearing notifications.

ZYALTRLike previously stated, it came through as an Amber Alert, so if you have them disabled on your phone, you would not have gotten the Presidential alert message.

trapper189I have Amber Alerts disabled, but can't disable Presidential Alerts. My phone, an LG, has a separate app for emergency alerts. My wife's iPhone on the same carrier did not get it.

That is not the case with me. Amber Alert disabled on my phone. But got the buzz and Presidential alert message.

BamaJeepsterI have emergency alerts enabled and get Amber alerts often. I did not get this alert.
