These things went out at 2:18pm EDT today. So far, my wife and I are the only people I know who *didn't* get the texts, and we even voted for the guy!

A couple of people at work didn't get it.

It wasn't going to everyone, apparently.

Those who didn't get the "sign" have been "activated".

I don't "text" but several folks where I was at that time did get notices on their smart phones.

Did this use the regular SMS / MMS text protocol? I just checked my incoming text message history, and I don't see anything.

My wife received the text but I did not. My daughter and her boyfriend did not receive it either. Strange...?

It went off at lunch. I was with my dad and he has an old flip phone. Very basic, it’s the old freebie phone from years ago. He didn’t get it and said he doesn’t get any alerts.

Nary a peep on my phone. Just the normal daily texting back and forth with Melania.

I didn't get an actual text. It was the same as an Amber alert.

With those types of alerts you have to have it enabled on your phone so it's not surprising so many people didn't get it.

I got an Amber alert with a text attached.

A coworker with an iPhone on T-Mobile I'd not. I did on Sprint

I've got a basic flip phone and didn't get it.

I got an emergency alert system test, I think that's what it was before I cleared it anyway.
