So if she's an educator - and SO proud of it - isn't she required by law to report pedophiles?

There are two surnames in Delaware that carry blanket immunity from consequences of ANY sort. If your name is Dupont or Biden, you can almost literally drop trousers and shit on the steps of the State Capitol. Capitol security won't even bat an eye.

Jill could make a live cameo appearance in one of Hunter's DIY porn flicks holding a taxidermy rhinoceros penis in one hand an a big ol' bag of meth in other, and no notice would be taken. No letters to the editor, no concerns about her teacher certification, no dis-invites from the next Junior League function, nada. It's like the cult of personality surrounding the Duvaliers, except not as efficient.

And I'd still laugh at her doctorate.

I forget who mentioned someone having a PhD in Math. In my humble opinion PhD in Mathematics requires the greatest amount of brain power out there.

Other than that Jill Biden is being a smarmy douche if she's insisting on her "title" be used.

I have a PhD but evidently I stumbled upon it at a vending machine in the mall. I was of the opinion that I had sold my house, moved to Denton Texas and worked my ass off for 8 years while holding down a full time job and raising a family. But damn was I wrong.

Now do I brag on it, no. Do I introduce myself as Dr. so and so. No it is just Dave. Yes, in academic circles I do use the title and the vast majority of my student do as well.
The front office people, they call me David or Dr. depending on our familiarity, I never correct. I appreciate their help.
Now GSA's, they are a lower form of life and dare not make eye contact much less address me other than my full academic title. (its a joke people).

If Jill is insisting that we have to call her that as a nation. fine. But we will all whisper to each other, "it is just an EdD" hehe

That’s my niece. And yes, in our family we agree. We have a variety of physicians, attorneys and PhD in physics and we all agree the PhD in math is the most difficult. But then, my niece is a bona fide genius. To top it off she is cute and immensely talented on the piano and flute and has a personality. And then there is me...sighhhh.

As for me, while doctor is correct for a variety of terminal degrees, I prefer professor in most cases. I have a good friend who is a patent attorney and has a PhD in mechanical engineering and a JD too. He use both titles in his letterhead but simply goes by “Jack.”

I watched a National Geographic special on trafficking, a few nights ago, specifically about illicit body building supplements and synthetic steroids. The main character in the story was a “Doctor xxx” who brews fast-acting concoctions for body builders. When asked, he’s not actually a medical doctor, but holds a juris doctorate, as a “retired” lawyer. He uses the title, though.

A doctor of Education is not the most useless degree in the world, despite the wild conjecture. I know this, because I happen to hold the most useless degree in the world, and Doctor of Education ain’t it.

While I do not have a PhD, I do have an Associates of Science Degree. So I just tell everyone that I can put ASS after my name. Wink

Is that a Doctorate of Business Administration?

If so, Im guessing that is primarily held by people with who educate MBA's and undergrads, so "Professor"??

Isn’t that normally written as dba rather than DBA?

I have seen both. DBA is the more common.

Most everyone who is touchy about their Title is an insufferable wanker, in all walks of life, private sector and public, military and civilian, business or pleasure, and otherwise.

Choke on your Title, Bob/Jane/whomever. What can you DO...?
