I have the same car, black, black interior with rosewood, custom luxury package. 160,000 miles NOT a single problem ever. Brakes, tires, change the oil. Never misses a beat. My wife drives it and does not baby it at all. She would kill me if I ever got rid of it. People that have owned the same car have told me NOT to trade it on a new one, they did and regret it.

I had a 2005 Competition Package BMW M3 that I loved. Sold it in 2010 with about 115k on the odometer, fearing that it was no longer going to be reliable.

'67 C-10 SB, LS, Whippple, T-56, big brakes, about a 4-6" drop on both ends. I can afford the parts, if I catch a few deals, but I could never get/keep it running. Be fun to have a truck that could hand a new Mustang it's ass. If I gotta buy off the showroom floor, probably a new Tacoma crew with the black TRD rims and BFG All Terain T/As. Manual of course. A Perpetual Disappointment...

I guess I misunderstood the question. I'm driving what I can afford: A 2012 Corolla SE. Dead-nuts reliable, cheap to own and about as exciting as a mayonnaise sammich on white bread. If I could afford it, I'd have a 'Stang with a stick. Yeah, I know the automatics are just as fast or faster, but real men's cars have stick shifts. Be careful when following the masses. A buddy of mine has a 2009 Nissan Maxima with over 300,000 miles on it. The VQ engine has won engine of the year a few times so I bought a 2012 Maxima brand new and have 123,000 trouble free miles on it. Just regular fluid changes.

My 2007 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 was a great daily driver, but the frame rust recall hit me and I couldn't be without a truck so I traded it for my current Ford F150. If not for the frame rust issue, I'd have kept the Toyota till the wheels fell off. It was a great little truck. Here's to the sunny slopes of long ago.

I have that car but in Orient Blue. It is the best car I have ever owned. Perfect mix of power and comfort and handling. Honda Civic/Accord, or Toyota Camry/Corolla. Every one my family has owned has hit over 200k and kept running with minimum expense. They are cheap enough to allow guilt free usage. My son and daughter both have Civics (2004 and 2005) and commute every day to work. (I changed the timing belts, water pumps, tensioners, alternators, etc). I would still hop into one of their cars and go cross country without flinching. Very reliable. Never be more than one step away from your sword-Old Greek Wisdom

I had an old 7 series here not long ago! 6 speed manual swap, supercharged, KW coiloves, CCW wheels, it was freakin' cool. Let me see if I can dig some pictures up. I think I'd probably take an E39 M5 (that's the question right? What car can we afford, but probably not afford to keep running?) ::edit:: ![]() ------------------------------------ 135 ├┼┼╕ 246R
