I’ve been an Amazon Prime member for the last couple of years, one of the main reasons being the two-day shipping. Recently I have noticed that everything I look at is showing 7 days to receive it.

Tonight I looked at Talley rings and my wife wants some new silverware. Both wouldn’t arrive until next Wednesday. In fact every silverware set shows the same time frame. On top of that, today our postal carrier told my wife that the USPS lost the contract with Amazon.

I’m not sure it’s worth the cost now if it’s going to take this long to deliver.

Not all items sold on Amazon are prime items, so that may be the issue. Even some prime items have extra processing times that Amazon warns you about.

These are Prime items though. In fact, I’ve bought the same Talley rings before and received them in 2 days. Every Prime item I look at shows delivery June 6th.

You probably didn't, but I'll ask-did you choose "I'm in no hurry"? If you did, you should have some credits banked.

I read that Prime is no longer two days from when you order but two days from when the order has been processed and SHIPPED.

No I didn’t, I’m impatient that way. I just talked to someone at Amazon, she couldn’t understand why it was taking so long, one item I ordered Monday, shipped today and won’t deliver until next Monday. I’m going to cancel the membership since it’s no longer a value to me. At least it will save me money simply by not having the convenience right in front of me.

Did they not make it right? Every time I've had a Prime shipment late they give me money back or some sort of credit, or an extra month of prime.

These go to eleven.

I've been very unhappy with their shipping lately as well. I've had 2 customer service chats and have gotten nowhere with them but received $15 & 1 free month of Prime. I love using Prime but if they cannot/won't honor their 2 day guarantee on Prime items I will cancel my membership. I suspect there will be alot more people who feel the same way as well.

"Get it as soon as..." does not translate to "you will have it on..." anymore.

I'm more surprised when Prime items DO get here in two days than when they don't.

IMHO, they're on the slippery slope to SuckVille.

They did offer a free month but to me it’s not about getting something free. I used it for the convenience of two day shipping. With that being eliminated it’s not as much of a value to me. Since I use the membership so much I couldn’t get a pro-rated refund. She gave me a courtesy refund of $30 plus I can keep the membership through 2/1/19. I’ve already cancelled it so it won’t renew at least. Like I said, it’s one way to kick the Amazon habit.

I've had a problem a time or two but considering the amount of stuff I order it's not bad. I have gotten upset before though when I wanted something. Most of my issues have been when Amazon used shippers other than UPS.

I just ordered today and it's supposed to arrive tomorrow.

I have noticed that some prime items say they will take longer now though.

I found that I had to click the shipping drop down to select anything different than the standard shipping that it defaults to.

I had the same problem with an order placed today. Delivery date listed as next Wednesday. Prime item listed in stock.

I called and complained and I was told it would be here Saturday. I have doubts it will be here Sat.

My orders do the same thing but even after selecting free 2 day shipping I'm still getting items between 3 and 5 days. I was told the person would escalate my issue but haven't heard back (I'm not surprised) and it's been at least 7 days already.

I am getting a little peeved with Prime. Ordered something yesterday with guarantee delivery Friday. Shipping notice says delivery on Saturday. That does me no good,I need it Friday and all they offer is to extend Prime one month. Big deal. How about express ship a reasonable substitute.

I never have signed up for Prime, but always buy an amount to get free shipping (currently $25). If Amazon ships the item it takes a week, unless it is in a local warehouse & I get it next day. If a 3rd party ships the item I receive it sooner than a week, sometimes the next day also. Why should I pay for Prime?
