I live in a fairly rural area and about 8 months ago the Prime shipping really started going down hill. I've placed around 25 orders with them in that time and maybe 5 of them have arrived in 2 days with most of them being 3 days. I don't mind the extra day as most of the time at the checkout it will show the correct arrival date it just isn't 2nd day. For instance today is Thursday the 31st and 3-4 items in my wish list all show that the prime 2 day shipping would be delivered on June 5th with next day shipping being the 4th. Sure that could effected by the weekend but it has been the norm for months now. In that time they have missed their estimated shipping dates 5 times, one of those being for a ez-up tent that I needed for a show that easily cost me 2k in lost sales along with booth rentals and hotel cost. I had always been happy with the Prime and it was my first choice for most purchases but now just use it for things I know aren't available locally. Accounting for the fact I don't use the streaming service much anymore I really doubt I'll renew next year.

I've noticed a lot more instance of "2 days shipping.. but only after 2-4 days of waiting". Maybe they've just gotten too big and can't pull it off anymore. Which is understandable, it's fine. But then the price of Prime should be going down, not up. _____________________________________________________ Sliced bread, the greatest thing since the 1911.

Except others are starting to step up their game to take a run at Amazon. Walmart, for one. I noticed Best Buy is now offering free two-day shipping. And neither charges membership fees for that. Not a good time for Amazon to lose its way. "America is at that awkward stage. I’m just relaying what our mail carrier said to my wife. He’s the best mail carrier we’ve ever had and we have lived here 24 years. He’s retiring this year and jokes it’s because of all the Amazon packages we get. He told my wife his daily package deliveries have dropped significantly

I haven’t had any of these issues. Most of the stuff I order here now in charlotte come next day not 2 days. Here it’s always USPS doing the delivering as they put it in lock boxes in the lobby which they only have access to. _______________________________________________ Use thumb-size bullets to create fist-size holes.

That’s been my experience as well. When I make enquiries they claim it’s “due to the distance”, which is bullshit because they don’t ship stuff out until a couple days before whatever faraway date they’ve claim it will arrive “due to the distance”. The shipper gets it here promptly once they send it but that’s often a week or more after I ordered it. They’ve even overnighted some of my orders in order to meet their projected arrival date that’s supposedly “due to the distance”. These are all items listed as in stock and fulfilled by Amazon so it’s particularly vexing. It seems like they’ve speeded up order processing to some areas by redirecting priorities away from processing orders from others and trying to lay blame on UPS, FedEx and the Post Office.

Cincy here and have the same issue. The irony is that I am 25 miles away from their biggest air hub. ____________________________ 220/229/228/226/P6/225/XO/SP2022/239

I've been using Wal-Mart recently and have found their prices to equal or beat Amazon. And I'm getting deliveries faster than Amazon. An as example I just ordered a case of Fever-Tree Indian Tonic (8 x 500ml) for the same $19.28 Amazon charges this morning. My order ships free. It is being delivered to my house Saturday FedEx. As an aside that's cheaper than I can get it locally. A few other items in the order will be here Monday on my front porch. Works for me with zip membership fees.
