I'm 66 years old, I do not take any vitamins, nor minerals. I used to take a one a day multivitamin when I was in my early 50's, never felt any benifit from it, so I quit wasting my money on it.

My Doctor told me about a 30 something man that took 6000 - 7000 units of D3 a day. In less than two years he had kidney failure. You can take to much of some of this stuff.

multivitamin (usually GNC 50+), & D
also; fish oil, turmeric, glucosamine, CoQ10
and of course, zinc and a prostate formula - these to help your sticker, peck out

I generally change up brands, depending on where I'm at, because I figure some are better than others, so I will get a good one every once in awhile, hopefully

Recently tried adding magnesium. I wasn’t right for two days.

Nature's Way Men's 50+ Ultra Potency (one in the morning with breakfast.). And now with COVID, I add 50mg of Zinc in the evening with dinner. Plus another 20mcg of D3 in my post-workout protein supplement(Power Life Whey Protein). Both Zinc and D3 appear to be connected to a better outcome with COVID.

Although I'm the physician in the family, my wife is the mother, so we pretty much takes what "we" have decided on:
1. Vita-Fusion multi-vits
2. Vitamin D3 4000 U a day (yes it has had an excellent effect on levels)
3. Folate
4. Aspirin 81 mg
5. Vitamin C 500 mg
6. Zinc citrate 50 mg - the latter two to improve immune function in setting of COVID-19
7. Potassium citrate - taken to increase pH of urine due to h/o kidney stones
8. Should be taking calcium supplement, but not for no good reason

I wasn't big on taking a multivitamin before COVID, but now I am glad I am doing it for everyday energy levels too. It seems to help.

I’m blessed with reduced kidney function. Not critical at this point but needs watching. My
Kidney Dr recommend Rena-Vite as it’s gentle on kidneys and liver. As strange as it sounds he also recommended any of the over the counter pre natal vitamins. He said they contain everything needed without stressing the kidneys by requiring them to filter out excesses. When I was taking regular multi vitamins I would see dark pee a few hours after. Not with the ones I take now.
