Thanks out of ER. Heart, a fib, extreme sleep deprivation. Thank you for your support. Para your help was truly important to me. Treated outpatient only. I had a new computer installed which had a flat keyboard. I have neuropathy which makes is impossible to type clearly. Thanks for blocking the posts, and being there for me.

Wow. Hope this finds you on the mend, my friend.

Afib is nothing to take lightly, and can have all kinds of nasty side effects. I lost a week I can't remember when it hit me along with a case of pericarditis. Apparently I thought Grant was President and the CCU was an airport. I'm still undergoing testing to make certain that there are no long term neurological effects.

You may want to consider investing in an Apple Watch with the ECG function - my doc recommended it and it is entertaining at least.

Hope you heal up and stay in rhythm.

That members would take the initiative to find where you live, and marshal resources to help does not surprise me. SIGforum takes care of its own.

Friend, if you need someone to chat with regarding A.fib, sleep deprivation, and neuropathy, drop me an email with your telephone number and I'll give you a call.

I recently was cardioverted from A. fib to normal sinus rhythm.

I'm a lifelong suffer of insomnia. A few times a year I go 36-48 hours without sleep. My record was 92 hours; I was getting daft in the head as a result, and the ER where I was taken was ended it with an injection of Seconal. A darkness called sleep came over me and oh boy did it feel good.

Lastly, I too have neuropathy from my bacterial infection last year.

So, need someone to talk to? I'm here for you.

Otherwise get well, and soon.

Afib has many challenges. Mom and Dad developed it, so has an aunt and uncle.

In Dad's early stages of diagnosis & treatment, he struggled with light headed episodes, most likely from insufficient blood flow and low blood pressure. One time he fainted after getting out of the shower, fell and bonked his head on the sink, became wedged between the commode and the wall. Mom heard the crash, saw Dad on the floor, bleeding from the scalp, and unresponsive. Mom thought he was gone.

An ambulance trip to ER, a few stitches, and by the end of the day, Dad was back home.

Best wishes on your challenges with afib. Be careful -- understand that a number of things in your life have changed.
