Maybe, but it would need a destruct button like on a key FOB. Let all Men know thee, but no man know thee thoroughly: Men freely ford that see the shallows. Benjamin Franklin

If the robot can drive cars folks won’t need FSD Teslas. Serious about crackers.

While I no longer have a wife, I'd like one assuming it's got Grok integration, which would make sense logistically. _____________________________________________ Proverbs 3:31 "Envy thou not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways."

Well it would then have a wifey quality, you could tell it what you think and have it set to fact check everything on Grock you say and correct you

I fold my own laundry (wife does hers, I do mine) and I do 99% of the cooking, because I like to. That being said I already told my wife to put $40K into the budget for and Optimus robot the minute they have one available that will fold clothes. If it can do the lawn and weeding, even better. But if all it does is fold and put clothes away it will be worth it for m. These go to eleven.

WTH do you think a Tesla with FSD is, buddy? You only have integrity once. - imprezaguy02

Well, it won't fold your clothes and mow the yard.... Do you think they'll get automatic 9mm jubblies?

From the description of what they can do, I believe my name should be Optimus. As far as mowing the lawn, we already have robots for that, and they are much cheaper.

Probably easier to get Optimus to mow your lawn than to get your teenage son to do so! Probably do a better job of it too.

I think I am going to buy one for my daughter, the one with the two cutest granddaughters in the world (stolen from JAllen). She puts all her attention and energy (the latter quite limited) into raising her girls to be Christians; and their love for us is something sent by God. But our daughter can't keep the house tidy. It's a mess. Remember they've all been living with us for 6 months; it will take another 6 to recover. So an Optimus to keep the place tidy, I'm sure it will teach the girls to put their books away; do the laundry, fold and put it away. My daughter deserves this. I'm certain as certain can be that if I offered one to my wife she would say, "No, give it to Sarah." _________________________ “Good intentions will always be pleaded for every assumption of authority. It is hardly too strong to say that the Constitution was made to guard the people against the dangers of good intentions. There are men in all ages who mean to govern well, but they mean to govern. Besides simple chores what else can they do? Can they change the oil in a car? Rotate the tires? Paint rooms? Change the pads on the swamp coolers? What about patrolling the house at night? A kill switch would be a requirement.

Last night I watched some Johnny Carson reruns from 1972 and there were Sears commercials featuring Kenmore dishwashers. I remember as a kid when we got our first dishwasher and helping my dad install it. Here we are ~54 years later talking about robots to clean the whole dang house and more! Pretty amazing but I'll be waiting on Gen. 10 or so before getting excited about it. By then I'll probably need a nurse robot to help me around the house.

Only reason I opened the thread lol Knowing what one is talking about is widely admired but not strictly required here. Although sometimes distracting, there is often a certain entertainment value to this easy standard. -JALLEN "All I need is a WAR ON DRUGS reference and I got myself a police thread BINGO." -jljones

Absolutely and more and faster. Agriculture alone will consume almost all of their production for awhile, if they can replace manual picking.
