Thank you Very little |
Curious as to what the previous incident reported was about, 17-92, outside of I-4 it can be one of those alternative routes, with lots of lights and direct business access that becomes a perfect place for road rage to flare. No excuse for what happened, it's just the layout the area and ripe for people to get out of control. Guessing we'll see more of the incident on some camera, lots of folks run dash cams, and it's a road where Orange City may have street traffic cams....

I too don’t think there is enough information to pass definitive judgement on the event. The motorcyclist was not alone in following the woman to her house, as a witness to the hit and run as well as the defensive shooting was on the scene talking to 911. Based on what is reported so far the witness and the motorcyclist were in the street waiting for the police, not attempting to gain access to the property. The woman played stupid games and won the stupid prize. The unborn child was her victim. It is sad on many fronts. The breakdown of our society and the complete lack of impulse control is getting out of hand. Everyone thinks they’re a victim and take no personal responsibility. Actions have consequences something a large portion of our population seems to have forgotten. _________________________ "An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile - hoping it will eat him last” - Winston Churchil

I think you misunderstood my comments. I'm not calling issue with the actual shoot given the details we know. I think the motorcyclist was forced to act. I simply think the motorcyclist could have better accomplished his goal from the end of the block/street instead of near the woman's house. And let's be real for a moment about this situation. The motorcyclist was not injured (thank god) and he still had an operable bike to get home on. All I'm suggesting is that he would have been better served if he'd stayed at some distance from this woman and let the police go to the house and deal with her rather than risk the confrontation (and outcome) that occurred. Hindsight is 20/20, but my bet is, the motorcyclist never imagined this woman would emerge from her home with a gun and threaten him with it, yet she did. He's likely wishing at this point he'd have stayed further away from her as opposed to being faced with having to shoot her and face everything that comes with that choice. ----------------------------- Guns are awesome because they shoot solid lead freedom. The woman was doing crazy things. The next day she might be out trying to run over a different motorcyclist, so it would be best to have the police involved in the case as soon as possible. Therefore the motorcyclist and witness did the best thing, following her home and staying on the street. Easily could have been a case of stolen plates, stolen car, etc. Sometimes life throws you a curve ball, and you have to handle it the best you can. Perhaps the motorcyclist could have run and dodged bullets, but he also might have been shot. He had no obligation to run, this is all on the nutcase woman. -c1steve
