There is nothing wrong with following an intentional hit and run suspect to their house. She’s the one that chose to go inside and re-emerge with a gun and start shooting. From start to finish, that is not rational behavior on many levels.

I don't think she ever got a shot off. I think she thought the mere act of brandishing a firearm was going to cause the rider to flee. She thought her gun was a talisman. She probably pointed it at the guy.

It's dangerous to forget- or to never realiize- that while you're armed, the other person may be as well.

I misread the report, but I suppose it’s moot. Pointing one is the same as shooting one.

Thinking a firearm makes you nine feet tall is not exclusive to women, but it certainly seems to be more prevalent with women.

Whatever happened on the road, I bet the motorcyclist is wishing he hadn't followed her home.

If so, lots of wrong on both sides.
What? She struck the motorcyclist on purpose and drove off. So that OK with you?

I don't fault the bike rider at all. He followed her so he could inform the police of her location. She lost it when she brandished the weapon. Nothing dramatic like this would have occurred if she would have just stayed inside.

Or, better yet, if she had stopped at the scene of the accident rather than fleeing.

Or, even better yet, if she had refrained from intentionally ramming another vehicle in a fit of rage in the first place.

Her mistake wasn't just that she came back outside with a firearm. That was just the final one of a cascade of stupid decisions on her part.

Yep, imagine that's true, wonder why he didn't wait further out on public roads just outside her home for the Sheriff vs get right up to her property, guess he didn't figure she'd come out with a gun, nether did she. Truly sad.

Sad all around...

Totally agree. She made a string of stupid decisions.

Not placing blame on anyone, but I'm curious to know what, if anything, precipitated the hit and run. It's always nice to have the whole picture before passing any judgement.

The more info the better. But, I am pretty sure it wasn’t worth dying over. There have always been hot heads, but lately it seems they are multiplying like rabbits.

Whole lotta WTF in this story and one side is dead.

Regardless of what happened prior, she was safely in her home and decided it would be cool to walk out and confront the biker with a firearm. Entirety of blame lies squarely on the woman. Can't blame a dude for whipping his shit out and putting a few rounds in her before she did it to him.

Yeah, she won’t be doing that again.

I know what you mean, about some thinking pulling the gun is the ‘main event’. On the scale, could easily ramp up to higher levels. At some point, maybe very soon, it’s time to shoot.

This assumes one has justification, & ready for the consequences. Maybe instead of hitting the biker, she could of just used her horn & the middle finger?
