Just letting the members know that my good friend and Sigforum member is still with us.

His last post was Dec. 7 last year. He and is wife are both Army Vets and were both in the hospital.

He went in the hospital I think Jan 16th and finally got home about 3 weeks ago. It was rough on him with bypass surgery and Carotid artery surgery and loosing a toe to start with.

I asked him last night why he hasn't been on here and he said his old laptop died I don't know if he will be getting another one. So keep him him and his wife in your prayers please.
Thanks,

Tnanks. I’m in for a contribution for a ChromeBook or similar to give him access if he has an internet connection.

I am in as well.

ChromeBook is good, but let's also consider a MacBook Neo, especially if he has an iPhone.

I'm in to help, either way.

If the Neo, Apple offers a Veteran discount. I'm already registered for that, if it helps. No-cost shipping (with gift option), direct from Apple.

Thanks everyone for all the replies.
He and I are both ham radio guys and I talk to him about everyday. I saw him more when he was in the hospital and in rehab than at home. I'm glad he's doing much better they have home health coming to for him and his wife.

Depending on what health issues are being dealt with, sitting at a table to compute may be uncomfortable from surgeries and lap tops are a pain. I use an Apple iPad, I can sit in my recliner, relax and hold my iPad. No stress no strain. An iPad is also very portable. It would tie into an iPhone if he has one.

Costco has an 11” Apple iPad with 256GB for 399.99. I don’t know what a Chromebook cost.

Just another day in paradise.

I have a surface pro I can send him if he wants it, might take a day or two to get it cleaned up but that would give him a tablet style with pc compatibility

If he has an iPhone can we message or FaceTime him to show him how to post with it? I’ll contribute to a laptop or tablet, but an iPhone is the same, just in a smaller size.

That is if he wants to go that route, or it may be too small.

Just don’t want a man not posting if he wants to when he has the means.

Glad he’s doing better.
