I LOVE the color, had to pay extra for it over black or dark blue, well worth it to me.

Wife asked me how much time I spent staring at the car yesterday, I told her hours. She then asked what percentage of day was spend reading about, researching, playing with and staring at it I spent during the day. Answer 90% of an entire day.

Heads off tomorrow night for tinting, pick her up Tuesday night with Max legal tint for my state.b 50% front, 35% rear, it has some factory Solar Tint which he said won't affect the final numbers and should be fine if tested by cops.

Look into ForScan, everything from simple to super complex changes available.

I did quite a bit on my F150 & a small amount on the Flex.

Some is do-able via simple toggles & some requires code changes. Some Fusion forums may have a ForScan thread/guide.

So back in April 2018 Ford announced they were going to stop making the Fusion and all their other sedans except the Mustang. It looks like Ford is having second thoughts and the death of the sedan might have been premature.

Salesman said they are going to make at least a 2020 Fusion. It's hard to believe that they will kill all cars minus Mustangs. No CUVs for me please.

Can't believe they are willing to part with all the fleet business. Cops, Taxis, Rentals, Company Vehicle. That's millions of cars I would think?

Salesman told me the same when I bought my 2017 Taurus last month. There will be a 2020 Taurus. Smile

I noticed that the local PD has A LOT of brand new Taurus Interceptors this year. I guess they were thinking that it would be discontinued too. Regards 18DAI

They won’t/aren’t. They will just be under the Lincoln moniker.
Police are pretty much switching to SUVs anyway.
Over 80% of Fords police sales for the last few years (even before the notification of the death of the Taurus) were SUVs.
Ford has also stated they will have a new police only sedan that is a hybrid.

Not to mention these CUVs will be a multi platform chassis and drivetrain.
If things don’t go as planned Ford would be able to have sedans back into production in less than a year.

Nice color and there will always be a place for a ‘car.’ Trucks have a place SUVs have a place and so do cars.

As mentioned earlier, check out Forscan. I did about 20 custom things to my F150.

I'm another who thinks Ford is flat out NUTS cancelling the Fusion. At 64 years of age I can remember when nearly every Ford made looked like it had been hit with an Ugly Stick. Exceptions were the 1970 Torino and the Mustangs. Now Ford has produced a Sedan that has the looks that will someday make it a Classic and regarded as one of the finest styled Sedans ever made and they are cancelling it. Note, I will also state that both the Fiesta and Focus are damned good looking cars but they are only a 7 or 8 on the 10 scale and the Fusion is a 12.

BTW I love that blue you chose, if I didn't have my Monte Carlo SS in a color matching the Magnetic gray of my FIST I would have gone with that Blue.

Also a pic of the Monte and the FIST

I've stopped counting.

Picked it up today after getting the windows tinted on it. I was worried since the windows say "Solar Tint 70%" minimum on them and appeared to have a tint from the factory that it would be too dark. Looks normal, maybe slightly darker than legal. They are pretty damn strict about that here. Can't wait for it to cure so I can clean it up and see how it looks. Only at 100mi so far, but I like it.

The window tint doesn't stand out because one it was tinted slightly from the factory and two our laws here only allow 50% front and 35% rear tint.

Fine looking vehicle Scooter, bet it's a blast to drive.

I have for the most part have been babying mine. I was thinking drive it for 500-1,000mi real easy before opening it up a little, then doing oil change at 1000ish miles. I know that is what they used to recommend in the old days, is that still a good idea?

I really like the current gen Fusion. Great car. Well built, good looking, decent features, reasonably priced. It's a shame that Ford is turfing all the sedans. I think an SHO or SVT model would have been a great send-off for it.

VGreat looking car and should be a fun to drive combo.

I remember when they first came out and they started at $41,000. Ford gave them no chance doing that. Should make for a much more fun driving experience than the typical SUVCUV’s that are everywhere.

Dang Skins, car has a great looking profile. It's got me rethinking my next car purchase. I've leaning toward an EcoBoost Mustang, but now...

Gentle break ins are still a good idea. I babied mine so much that the mileage has been over 28 mpg since day one. Just passed the 1000 mile mark and just filled the tank with 93 octane premium. So if I happen on a nice clear road free of any PD I just may drop the hammer for short test.

I've stopped counting.
