Started off thinking about the Taurus after someone posted about the crazy deals on them. Somehow that evolved into a $12,000 more expensive car. Assuming dealer takes my offer.

Things I like:
*325hp/380ftlbs
*LSD and AWD
*Twin turbo
*Some kind of variable dampening system, but not active (need to read up)

Things I don't like:
All the damn bells and whistles. The damn car parks itself and has carmeras, touchscreens, sensors. Active lanekeep/adaptive cruise control all that suite of nonsense.

Wish they made a base model with the top engine, that's all I want, but the cooled seats seem pretty damn nice.

I test drove one before buying my Mercedes. They had some smoking deals on NOS prior year models.

It felt more like you sat on it than in it to me.
I had an F150 at the time with the same 2.7TT V6, the FFS felt slower than the truck.
The back seat was smaller than expected, my 4 yr old's feet were touching the back of the driver seat.

Wish the interior was available in black, bit did like the suede material.

Had a similar impression of the Edge Sport. Felt less peppy than the F150, and really didn't like how aggressive the lane keep assist was.

My little brothers girlfriend has had a fushion for a few years now, she had mustangs before it. She loves it. Her dad owns a Ford Dealership, so she has a choice of any ford she wants.

I have a 2012 Fusion, only complaint is anemic power plant, thus the sport model. Plus at 26,000 miles mine is getting a little long in the tooth. Wink

250, thanks for input, it does take a second for turbos to kick in I noticed.

Find a 2018 focus RS. It fits all of those, with tuned+ you could get it to 400bhp(365whp), 400wtq on 93. Much more if you have a quality e-85 near you.

Haven't driven the RS, but the few I've talked to who have, put it in the not-so-great- as a DD. Due to the stiff suspension & seats.

I'm sure the RS has some deals on it now too, now that dealers probably aren't putting the crazy market adjustments on them anymore.

But, the FoRS is a car you sit 'in' as opposed to 'on' RE my above post.
If the FFS had better seats & better gearing/tuning, it'd be a real winner.

A Livernois tune supposedly really wakes the FFS up quite a bit.

Just for the heck of it I looked up Focus RS. Used ones sell for just under MSRP, can't afford that, and no new ones for sale.

I've owned a track car as daily driver before, not fun. This is weekend only car, that's why my seven year old one only has 26k miles on it.

Others will complain it’s boring, but have you looked at the new Honda Accord?
0-60 in 5.3 seconds after broken in per C&D.
Comfortable, roomy back seat and trunk.
Will go the distance.

They accepted my counter offer. Heading there to pick up the car. Crappy part is I called my insurance agent and he told me it would be a 30% increase on my car insurance 104 to 130ish. Wife is buying a new car next year so probably going to go up then too. This car is classed for insurance like a sports car. Frown Plus it's a much more expensive car than my other fusion.

Pics and range report to follow.

Congrats!
It should make for a comfortable cruiser when you want it to & a fun car otherwise.
Small MPG hit due to the AWD, but it'll be fun.

Just didn't work for me with 2 kids in car seats.

Nice, same color as my wife's Escape.

Our 2015 F150 has the 2.7L V6 TT and in "Sport" mode when you put your foot into it certainly gets up and goes. Ov er 56K on the truck, only problem has been rodent damage to fuel system wire harness. Honest average of 20.1 mpg over those 56K miles.

And just checking, you are aware that the Fusion has been cancelled by Ford, right?

I studied this to replace my STI, but the situation is that there are tons of issues on the motor. I wouldn't.

Yeah mistake on the car wash. Did a shitty job and didn't get glue off from wrapping. It still had dust on it. He splashed it with water and put tire shine on it.

Told manager and he must have yelled at the lot boy. He jerked the keys out of my hands. Probably washing it with 80 grit sandpaper as we speak.

It is a gorgeous car and I hope you have nothing but great luck and great times. My daughter has a Fusion and I think she has had 8 different recalls. Can't remember what year hers is.
Drive safe and enjoy the hell out of it !

Turbos are likely too small to notice any lag they should spool quick. You are likely feeling the drive by wire throttle delay.
One of these should wake it up
