For years, I’ve had the trigger pull that you just couldn’t pull far enough to release the hammer/striker. Later on, I actually shot the bad guys in very realistic scenarios as the years went by. I just had one recently where I was in a busy downtown when I saw a man and woman at a food counter/window as if they were ordering. The guy, removed a large Bowie knife from his sleeve as if he was about to confront the clerk. I ordered him to approach me, and when he did, he charged me. I drew and fired, hitting him in the chest, which dropped him. Then my mind raced with calling backup, medical, and procedures. Last night, I was on a police motorcycle driving on property, about to enter onto a street. I saw there was another officer or two from another jurisdiction conducting traffic control of the street. As I was about to enter the street, which was about 200’ away from an overpass/freeway on ramp, one of the officers, a female stopped me, telling me not to go. She saw who I was, but she got into a Richard-measuring contest with me. I was trying to get onto the freeway and get somewhere before the heavy rain started. A lot of my LE related dreams are me being in another jurisdiction. Retired Texas Lawman

This is what I was talking about in my original reply. I have shooting dreams now and then, but I have driving dreams very very frequently. Most of them end the same way, with the brakes not working well or at all and me waking up. Trigger, brake peddle, same thing.

I think some of you have been at the magic mushrooms again. The only repeat dream I can remember is from when I was very young. I am falling from a great height for what feels like an eternity only to wake up before splattering on the ground. “There is love in me the likes of which you’ve never seen. The Dream... Southlake Mall parking lot me vs 3. Number 1 shot to hip drops his pistol. G22 is my service weapon. Number 2 runs off. Number 3 soaks up the remainder of my magazine. Keeps coming I can see hits impact on body. Run dry panic then I pickup Number 1's 1911 Colt Officers model and it does not stop the problem. Bothered me so much I created a officer survival range drill on battle field pickups afterward . VI...
