He has lived in another world for a long time. Many years ago, I was at Scottsdale Airport for some flying school. Sunday morning, I decided to go for a walk, around the airport, the tie downs, taxi ways etc. While I was doing this, a bizjet with tail number N1KE came in, taxied over to the corporate jet FBO ramp. A number of white limos drove out on the ramp, a dozen or so blacks left the plane and piled into the limos which then departed. I continued on my walk. About 45 minutes later, the limos returned, drove out to the plane. About a dozen black people left the limos and boarded the plane, which fired up the engines, taxied out for departure and departed. I went into the FBO terminal to ask what that was about. "It was Tiger Woods. He likes to eat breakfast at McDonalds. That's where they went, had breakfast and left." I believe this was just after he had turned pro, but had not bought his own jet yet, so he was using Nikes. Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me. When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

Will he ever want for anything material? Will he ever have trouble paying his electric bill or mortgage payment? Will he ever want for anything material? Any service? He can afford the very finest of medical care. He can afford the best personal security. He can afford to live in the nicest, most exclusive of communities. And people feel sorry for this asshole? Does "Tiger" strike you as a man who has been kind to people who admire him? It would take you a hundred lifetimes of toiling away at actual jobs to even get in the neghborhood that this guy has gotten for being ab to his a fucking little back with a club. Give me a Goddamned break. I hope he kicks before teh sun goes down today. ____________________________________________________ "I am your retribution." - Donald Trump, speech at CPAC, March 4, 2023

The Hell you say. Tiger with 400 million is his bank account, or Tiger with 40 bucks in his bank account. Take a guess- which one is FAR more comfortable and secure? Come on. Money cushions everything. Forget the platitudes. Money makes life easier than not having money, and when you combine those millions with people fawning over his spoiled ass, he has nothing to complain about. Period. End of story.

One of the name brand Silicon Valley executives, worth a few $Billion, once commented that money can buy everything. One of his Board members suggested that money can't buy love. The exec's retort was along the lines of "I don't buy love, I rent it by the hour". Maybe he and Tiger share that trait. Seems to me there's money, talent, character. Tiger has plenty of the first two, nothing of the third. In my book, in the end, character wins. "Liberty lies in the hearts of men and women. I get your point, and I'm not even close to a fan of his, but society as a whole puts the value on what he does for a living. We don't have to like it, but it is capitalism at work, warts and all. Society would be better off were it capable of recognizing where true value lies, but you don't need me to tell you it isn't, and never will be. So, I accept it as such. He is reputedly one of the biggest cheapskates on the planet. The evidence is overwhelming. I don't think anyone defends that assertion. "We have a system that increasingly taxes work, and increasingly subsidizes non-work" - Milton Friedman

Perhaps. I have spent some time at the lemp mansion. Look it up. Untold wealth. The lemp brewery was making money hand over fist. Far bigger than Anheuser Busch. But suicide ran in the family. Yes. They were comfortable. For awhile. "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies.
