The PDI is daunting and you will miss something. Razz

I had time constraints of my own creation and missed quite a few things. For example, I checked the stove and assumed the oven worked. It didn't. I failed miserablely at cooking a frozen pizza on a grill on our second outing. Big Grin

Get a trucker's atlas. I don't know how tall yours is, but ours is 13' 4". Google maps and Apple's Siri won't route you around low clearance bridges or roads.

That is so awesome.

Question: while you're traveling, is it okay for people to walk around in the back and go about their activities?

Allen, I just emailed you the link to the Roof Tape modification I did. Hope that helps you out in protecting your RV from water intrusion. You may also want to check ALL windows from possible water leak. I found out that our brand new (2 month old) RV have 3 windows that have water leaks. I sealed the window frame using ProFlex RV sealant.

My dream/plan is to travel the entire US and some parts of Canada when we retire.

Hope to see you down the road one day Allen. Enjoy your new RV.

My plan is to transition over to full-timing by September, then head to Texas. Smile I've been researching....I dunno, two or so years now. Pretty crazy feeling to actually see (well, pics) of "my" RV.

Edmond, when I travel with my family, I let them walk around to stretch their legs and even use the bathroom when it is safe. When the road is straight, not windy outside, traffic is not stop & go. Then I ask them to go back and sit down, buckle up for safety.

Hah! Ozark, IIRC you were one who suggested that I look at used, but if I had to go new, look at Tiffin, Winnebago, or Newmar. Wink So I'm totally blaming you when things go wrong.

As a matter of fact, wasn't you who sent me that book on things to look for when buying a used RV?

I really want to try a Newmar Dutch Star. I'd have to sell my house and get a mortgage of course...

Going full time at retirement in an RV is pretty interesting for us, but the only way we could do it was if we had one of the huge diesel pushers.

Evil exists. You can not negotiate with, bribe or placate evil. You're not going to be able to have it sit down with Dr. Phil for an anger management session either.
