That’s a sweet rig! Have fun.

Regarding Roswell, I just left this morning. The Permian baisn is booming and every RV camp is slammed with oil workers. RV camps are springing up everywhere. If possible, I’d avoid Midland/Odessa, Hobbs, Carlsbad and points between. Roswell not so much. Carlbad Caverns and Guadeloupe Mountains look to have space weekdays.

Very nice, Newmar is a great product, don’t feel bad with your punch list of things to repair or fix. Your walk through and delivery should take a full day. Look at everything top to bottom, work all systems. If you point out he things before you take delivery it seems to put a fire under the dealer to get it completed. If you have a good dealer one that completes the fixes quickly and is in tune with your concerns it will go well. It doesn’t matter where you are on the price point they all have kinks to work out. Enjoy your rig!

Look, I'm not being critical, really I'm not. But.... if you expect that you're gonna be able to set up a decent meth lab in that thing and not ruin it, you're all confused.

I'd get some rubermaid mats, maybe. Lots of visqueen, for sure.

Great choice! I have a 2017 Newmar 2702 that we love. In two years we put almost 18,000 miles on it.
Plan on having to get the slides adjusted a time or two as things wear in. I went back to the factory once, then my dealer tweaked them about six months later. Otherwise, it's been minor stuff that falls under "tinkering".

Hey Allen, if you need a tour guide in central New Mexico you just have to swing to Mid-Michigan. By the way, you have room in the storage area? I need to see my buddy in Yucca Valley Ca. and pick up a '65 Suzuki Hillbilly motorcycle project, it should not take up much room!

Go through everything with a finetooth comb before taking delivery. Have them fix everything you found before taking delivery.

LOL Well, there's still the Pacific Northwest!

And Deep South

And Canada

And Alaska

And Mexico (and however further south I can go...)

Thanks all for the best wishes and tips. The PDI is worrisome...despite all the reading and Youtubing I've been doing over the past couple of years, it's still pretty intimidating. Lots of stuff to learn, I'm hoping I don't miss something. I hope to blog/YouTube about it as well. While researching I couldn't help but notice about 95% of the people doing it were well established, veteran full-timers. I think it'd be fun and educational to watch/read some poor noobs misadventures. Razz

That is a beautiful RV. I've seen many sinse I shower and do laundry at a Camp grounds in northern Kentucky. A friend has one this size, Pace Arrow and it too has the V10. I like the drivers area best as they look plush and comfortable. Seats are like lounge chairs.

Hold the black, flow the grey.... Only hold enough grey to flush after a black dump.

Don't haul water unless the destination has none or travel to destination requires it. It isn't worth the fuel to move water.

A water regulator from Home Depot/Lowes will keep the pressure steady.

These and so many more will become second nature.

Good luck and safe travels.

Make sure you have a socket large enough to remove the drain plug from the water heater (also known as the Hot Water Heater Smile )
