Most likely 870, if anything for budgetary reasons. Just made a very large (non gun category) purchase with credit, that needs to get paid before next toy purchase.

They are the old Bushmaster brand. OK as an entry-level AR, plinker and home defense rifle but I wouldn't deploy with one.

One of our reserve deputies used his own in our patrol rifle certification course, stock broke and as it was civ-spec and not mil-spec the SO couldn't provide an immediate replacement.
