And never mind what all those solar panels would do to supplies of the fresh water they require for cooling in locations where those supplies are already short. Salt water gums up the machines, DeBlasio, and the forest fires in New York City's watershed will give Manhattan a taste of what its like to live in LA.

What kind of solar panels require cooling, much less use water for it? We’ve been living in our current house with off-grid solar for fourteen years and while I did wash the panels once, they’ve never had any cooling, water or otherwise.

Every solar panel in every array designed to produce large quantities of electricity - such as commercial production or the arrays used for large installations. If your house doesn't need it, that's great - but that's not how large-scale production of solar electricity works.
