I took a class on Off Duty / Plain Clothes survival about a dozen years ago put on the LASD. One of the deputies teaching said he kept a stainless j-frame in a plastic bag in the shower.

For those who are apparently unaware, the vacuum-sealed "shower gun" is a joke/meme that has been making the rounds of firearms forums for at least the past 2 decades... Not an actual real world suggestion.
