Very happy. Wife and I are doing well and the kids seem to be playing the career game very well.

Told cops where to go for over 29 years…![]() |
Happy? Frequently. More importantly, I feel blessed daily. My wife of almost 39 years and I are retired our health issues are being resolved and we are financially “comfortable”. As another poster said, I believe happiness is a choice. Long time believer that life is 10% what happens and 90% how you respond to it. What part of "...Shall not be infringed" don't you understand???

We are now blessed to have four grandchildren. We are blessed to be close to the two granddaughters who welcomed us home from our trip as if we were the loves of their life. The two grandsons are 3000 miles away and we don't get to see them often--but we will soon. I want our relationship with those two boys to have a good relationship with us too. These days any unhappiness is either related to the illness of a family member, or the political machinations of the people who would destroy the greatest country in the history of the world. I derive a great deal of happiness, to the point of giddiness, about what President Trump is doing to restore America. It's shocking what can be done with real leadership that loves our country. _________________________ “Remember, remember the fifth of November!"

Today was a good day. Off work, relaxed day at home and went sledding with my wife and the kids. Happiness is a matter of perspective, so it shouldn't have to be a good day to make you happy, but it does make it easier! ----------------------------------------------------------- Any comments made by this poster are my own and do not reflect the views or opinions of my employer.

Happy, greatful, and blessed. My life has turned out better than I deserved and I thank God every day for it. Funny how you forget all the rough days as you get older. ****************************************************************************** Never shoot a large caliber man with a small caliber bullet . . .

Yes, and every day is a gift. And I agree with what many have said in this thread. Lots of good thoughts about being happy, content, blessed, etc. Some days can be challenging but still a gift. "Practice like you want to play in the game"

I am maudlin this morning - I saw the news item of the new very (!) high power laser drone killer with video. I recalled Blade Runner film with the Rutger Hauer soliloquy: “I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C‑beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.” I point out that what it does to drones is equally applicable to humans…it makes the soliloquy real in my lifetime! The video was stunning, turned the drone into garbage!! I thank God, every day, 365 days a year, for being here. But at the same time I won’t be happy until I can move out of a major metro because there are too many people and I never signed up for this. Far too many have moved here and it’s taken away all the things I loved to do in my off-work time. Just grinding through it and it’ll take years. What am I doing? I'm talking to an empty telephone

The digital picture frame by my desk popped up a picture of The Lovely Girlfriend and me, just as I opened this thread. That particular pic puts a grin on my face every time I see it (as do several others). I'm blessed, healthy, well-employed, and well-accompanied. Yep. Happy. Politicians seem to have forgotten that they work for us, not the other way around. — — — — — — — — — — — — God bless America.

Don't let her get away. I would not let her see this post about being "well accompanied." Girls like being married to the one. Not strung along. Just say'in "Practice like you want to play in the game"

Yes, thankfully, I am pretty happy. There had been a schism in my family involving younger members of the family that was very painful. Affected us all. Sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins...It bothered me for months. I will tell you that every night as I went to bed I prayed to God to fix the problem...I begged Him to help me, to show me what to do to solve the problem. And then when I was quiet, and when I was listening, He presented the opportunity to fix the schism FOR ME to recognize. That was the key! To recognize and act on the opportunities that He presents. Though His will and His Love and doing what He showed me, God has healed the schism and my family is closer than ever. God is Good Best regards, Mark in Michigan

I am happy. Still in low level constant pain, but happy. No boobs "I vowed to myself to fight against evil more completely and more wholeheartedly than I ever did before. . . . Doing my best to be permanent, sir! TLG knows she's The One.
I s'pose I wasn't clear enough on that one. I meant, in general, as in friends, family, and coworkers. Politicians seem to have forgotten that they work for us, not the other way around. — — — — — — — — — — — — God bless America.
