These clowns actually PROTESTED a new grocery store 6-months ago. Why? Because it wasn't nice enough. A whole foods in the area closed 18 months ago due to rampant theft, and lack of prosecution. So, what happened, a discount grocery opened up in the vacant property. However, residents and alderman protested as they felt it "devalued" the area, and they wanted a premium grocer. UNBELIEVEABLE.

Skip to about 10:30 for this specific aspect of the story. Otherwise, probably best to watch at 1.5x.

They want everything to be exactly as they want it, and they want to be able to continue to behave the way they've been behaving, with no consequences of any kind. It's pure fantasy. They're CHILDREN! Big Grin

It's only going to get more entertaining.

I wonder if these city run stores will allow thieves to walk in, grab whatever they want and walk out the door without paying.

So they're crying about "food deserts". Phather Pfaker (Fr Pfleger) is doing his usual whine and cry routine about a gas station, and wants it closed down. They are pushing for Gas Stations to be closed at a certain time because we all know it's the Gas Stations fault there's criminals out at 1am. Damn you Shell & BP!

They're going to be bitchin' about "Gas Deserts" soon enough.

Similar thing is happening in Detroit. Stores closing because they can't stay profitable due to the constant shoplifting and outright open theft.

The problem is those people have no stores to shop at so they drive out to the suburbs to shop. Fine, you need food and supplies, we get it. The issue is the thieves go where the money is so now they are moving into the suburbs and doing the same thing. I walked into what used to be a nice Target a few months ago and almost everything is locked down. You can't buy anything small without getting assistance to open the cases for you. All it really does is prevent mass theft. There are also cameras going up everywhere in stores that never used to have issues. I guarantee you it isn't local residents suddenly getting the shoplifting bug.

So, a loaf of bread that sells at Walmart for $3 will sell for $4.50 at the gov.com store? Make sense. And when people steal from the gov.com store, who will suffer or absorb the loss? The tax payer?

Well, he does have a point about Lori Lightfoot...
Was she a Republican? Roll Eyes

Chicago's Mayor Brandon Johnson claims he 'inherited' the city's spiraling migrant crisis and lashed out at Lori Lightfoot's former administration.

Johnson criticized Lightfoot's administration at a press conference on Tuesday held to announce the Unity initiative, an interfaith partnership aimed at bringing sleeping migrants out of police stations and into shelters.

Johnson told reporters that 'the international crisis that I inherited six months ago, I've made it very clear we are going to move people out of police districts, women and children who are living on floors and sleeping outside that we're going to create spaces that provide more dignity.'

Windy City has come under strain after the city was inundated by 20,000 migrants over the last 14 months, triggering a crisis. Many were bused north from the southern border, which has been overwhelmed by migrants crossing from Mexico.

In Chicago, thousands of asylum seekers are staying at police stations and airports as the local government has run out of space to house them.

Former Mayor Lori Lightfoot (pictured) was heavily criticized for her time in office, four years dominated by soaring crime , war with teachers' unions and police and battles with the City Council

Migrants have been forced to take shelter on the floors of police stations in Chicago or at O'Hare International Airport (pictured)

'Did you know when I was sworn in in May, the previous City council did not budget for 2023's migrant mission' the controversial mayor told the press.

'So not only have we stood up the full force of government in a collaborative way, we did it without the previous city council even providing resources for it.'

Lightfoot was heavily criticized for her time in office, four years dominated by soaring crime, war with teachers' unions and polic and battles with the City Council.

Under her watch, crime rose by 42 percent and the city's police complained about staff shortages and low morale: In May 2021, the Chicago Fraternal Order of Police issued a symbolic vote of no confidence against Lightfoot.

Mayor Johnson also blamed the 'far right' for Chicago's ills during Tuesday's press conference.

'What we've seen is a very raggedy form of right-wing extremism,' the woke Mayor said. 'Everyone knows that the right-wing extremism in this country has targeted democratically run cities and quite frankly and they have been quite intentional about going after democratically ran cities that are led by people of color.'

'There intention is to create division and chaos because that is what that particular political party has been about.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

WOAH!!!! HE CAN'T DO THAT!
How DARE he point the finger at a black, female, dwarf, lesbian, democrat, liberal, retarded mayor that handed him a shit-show!

Remember everyone; Johnson is a BLACK man, with a BLACK wife, raising BLACK children in Chicago.
That's all he's got to fall back on.

And it was the 'far right' that made Chicago a 'sanctuary city' and the Republicans that refused to close the border and let in all these illegal aliens. Joe Biden built the wall, and Donald Trump tore it down!

Para's right. This is "entertainment", and it's going to get better and better, with really no end in sight.

The days of a city having enough middle class, pissed off voters, to elect a Rudy Giuliani are OVER. The rich are insulated from the consequences of their vote, and vote as they do for both protection and radical cred, and the poor are too dumb, and reliant on handouts, to change their vote.

It's a vast circle-jerk, paid for with blood, and tax money, and only the rich (who don't care) and the grifting politicians (who profit handsomely) win.

"I vowed to myself to fight against evil more completely and more wholeheartedly than I ever did before. . . . That’s the only way to pay back part of that vast debt, to live up to and try to fulfill that tremendous obligation."

Alfred Hornik, Sunday, December 2, 1945 to his family, on his continuing duty to others for surviving WW II.

But eventually even the rich, who think they are insulated, get hit by crime and decide to move out. Then there's no one left to pay the bills.
