Guys. A 20 foot long drone is NOT a hobbyist size drone. That's 2/3 the size of a Predator! If the account is correct they'd definitely be able find where they came from and where they're going. To just shrug your shoulders and say ohh well... is ridiculous.

| The most technically advanced military in the world and we can't figure out where drones are coming from. |

| Considering the fact that an enormous (200’ tall) Chinese spy-ballon carrying an estimated 2,000 pounds of sophisticated surveillance equipment, traversing over parts of Alaska and the entirety of the USA, traveling ~4,500 miles at an astonishing 30 mph or so before finally being shot down off the coast of SC, I am afraid that the US Military may be hopelessly and helplessly befuddled on how to counter these ‘mystery’ drones.

There is no way in hell I believe our government doesn't know who is behind this, if it happened at all. Just like the mystery balloon that floated across the US some months back. Sounds more like state-sponsored internet BS.

| "A report by the Wall Street Journal reveals that mysterious drones have been conducting surveillance over several sensitive US military sites, including the Navy SEAL Team Six base and Naval Station Norfolk, for an extended period. The Pentagon has struggled to respond to these intrusions due to legal and logistical challenges.
"The drone activity, which occurred over the past year, involved swarms of drones flying over military bases in Virginia and Nevada.
One notable instance involved Langley Air Force Base, home to the F-22 Raptor fighter jet, where dozens of drones were observed flying over the base at night for 17 consecutive days in December 2023" |

| Don't we have "anti drone" drones? If we could keep bombers with nukes in the air 24/7 sixty plus years ago, we should be able to keep a stinking drone on standby 24/7 today. |

| I figure there are 2 most likely answers. But I could be very wrong and it’s aliens. 1. They are popping out of a container sitting on one of the many container ships traveling off the coast at any time. Containerized surveillance and weapons systems are common. And what better than to hide 1 or 2 special containers on board a ship carrying 12,000 40’ containers. 2. They are ours and we are playing with our bases to test security or ability to track. Would help to explain the kind of nonchalance around the response to the incursions. The more local command is obviously concerned, while it seems higher command is not as urgently looking for the bad actors. My money is on the first scenario. Aggressor nation probing to see what our capabilities are with counter measures, and what we can or can’t detect. But why tip your hand on any tracking or defense abilities before it is needed. They aren’t seeing anything that satellites or someone on the ground can’t work out or see. Still wish they would just hit a switch and turn them off to drop out of the sky. Would be a nice middle finger to the owners.

| A few ideas 1. Shoot one down. Pick up what is left of it. Analyze it and determine where it originated and what it was recording 2. Intercept the controlling signal and trace it back to the source 3. FOLLOW them after they depart and see where they go, I bet its close to the people operating them. Sheesh...

Seems simple enough but, but, the Pentagon is stumped. Stumped I say. |

Because the military brass has too many progressive obama appointees, and not enough kick ass warfighters. That would be my guess.
