You're on a roll Para - I've been chuckling at your comments!

Awhile back I starting saving some choice Paraisms in the form of tattoos. I now have two full sleeves and am eyeing other body parts...

Well, uh, in that case, think symmetry. Symmetry Eek

That reminds me of when I used to say that I was going to get my balls tattooed "Left" and "Right".

You know, to avoid confusion. Razz

This, is what needs to happen. The granola humping unicorn crowd will just build some kind of shrine on the site, moving the bus will change nothing.

Yeah, if the governor of Alaska said that he had shoved the bus up his own ass, these leftist children would still be making requests to visit it.

How's it gonna look for the governor to be walking around with a bunch of daffodils sticking out of his ass? Very unseemly.

Dang, I thought the bus had been removed a while ago. Maybe it was just an article I read saying it might happen.

This guy was just plain nuts in my opinion. Why some misguided people think he is some kind of martyr or should be admired for anything just proves they're nuts too. He goes out there basically with no supplies, no equipment and no training. I won't post them, but if you look at alleged pictures that he took of himself with game that he caught.... they are just plain bizarre. His facial expressions are not those of a person in possession of their full faculties.

When I lived in Arizona for a while, there was always some hiker getting lost on a day trip and then dying from exposure after a few days. Are we supposed to put up a memorial for them too and have bunches of sightseers trek out there , some of them dying in the process? I see little difference between the two stories.

My humorous attempt.

News Report Two Granola Hikers rescued by hunters after being lost and stranded in Alaskan Wilderness.

For the last month, 2 hikers have wandered the wilderness looking for "The Bus". They were found starving by a couple of hunters and at first refused offers of help, calling the hunting party barbaric heathens. When asked why they did not know that the bus had been removed by the DNR with help from the US Army they replied. "We don't watch or read any news that involves a reference to the despicable US Army of Repressors."

They should just fly that thing to new locations every couple of months, for practice, see some hikers getting close, move it.

Kinda like the Fly Fishing Progressive insurance guy,

Infamous ‘Into the Wild’ bus will likely end up in UA Museum of the North in Fairbanks

An abandoned bus that attracted travelers into the Alaska wilderness for years, prompting several rescues and deaths, will likely be kept at University of Alaska’s Museum of the North, according to state officials.

The bus, made famous by its depiction in the 1996 best-selling book “Into the Wild” and a later feature film, was airlifted last month from its previous location west of the Teklanika River near the Stampede Trail, near the boundary of Denali National Park and Preserve, to a secure location.

In a statement Thursday, the Alaska Department of Natural Resources wrote that it intends to negotiate with the museum and that it will be the “likely repository” of the bus.

“Of the many expressions of interest in the bus, the proposal from the UA Museum of the North best met the conditions we at DNR had established to ensure this historical and cultural object will be preserved in a safe location where the public could experience it fully, yet safely and respectfully, and without the specter of profiteering,” DNR Commissioner Corri Feige said in the statement.
