Fighting season started early for us in 2011 when bin Laden was killed. Long story short, I was sent by the CDR over to the ANA to "see what's up" that morning. So I'm surrounding by a bunch of ANA who was probably pissed their hero got whacked in Pakistan... Fighting season is enemy contact pretty much every day. _____________ | |||

I loathe the fact we rotate out new teams in the spring/early summer just before the fighting season. We haven't been in Afghanistan for 17 years. We've been in Afghanistan 17 times...one year at a time and repeat all of the same mistakes. | |||
