I don't mean to second guess you and my math skills have never been red hot, but could you mean that 11,421 days represents the 31 years you were IN the army.

30 years and 135 days. Sold my business 1st of Jan 1997 at age 45. Have not had a real job since and in my case I was working too hard to make any money.

1003 days ago was my last paid day. I then did a year doing the same as an active reserve, just not getting paid.

I still get called back for court, but as time passes, those instances will become fewer and fewer.

Also, I will receive my first SS check this month, so more money for our new house payment.

1632 days since I was seriously injured at work and now I’m on disability. This was not on my bingo card, so I’m currently taking night classes to learn a new trade. We will see how it goes.

35 years in the paint business, retired at 56.

I now do what I want, when I want, currently helping a cousin feed his herd of cattle in western Oklahoma.

1284 as of today.

I miss many of the people, the actual core work, and none of the BS.

I kept on at the part-time job I was doing concurrently since 2011, which keeps me engaged, entertained, and decently paid. Same with some light consulting. If it stops being any of those things I'll come up with a new plan that involves more cycling, improving my ukulele skills, and getting serious about reloading.

Not sure if I'm retired or not. On "temporary layoff" until business picks up. Temp may become permanent if I can make ends meet. At 71 I'm long overdue.

No that represents the 31 years in days I've been retired from the army. Just like what the OP was asking.

Enlisted in the Army on 22 Nov 72 and retired from same on 5 Jan 95. So from army retirement date to posting date is 11,421 days give or take a few hours. Smile
