I know this topic comes up from time to time but thought I would ask. What hobbies do you folks partake in?

Collecting hobbies Wink

Got rooms and a garage full of current and past hobbies. For example, I had always resisted getting into camping because I knew it was a lot of gear. Couldn't resist when I lived in Alaska and Canada, but I hate tent camping when its hot so it just takes up garage space now.

My current hobbies I spend the most time on are cooking (year around), detailing my truck and motorcycle (year around), my vegetable garden (March to December hobby), and motorcycling (September to May hobby). Shooting has taken a back seat to motorcycling the past 1.5 years (i.e. if I have 4 hours and beautiful weather I grab my motorcycle rather than pistols or rifles).

I’ve enjoyed tinkering on cars, mainly maintenance stuff. Saves me a few bucks in the long run.

I’ve been running for over 20 years and riding for 10. I’ve completed 25 marathons and about ten triathlons (half and full ironmans). Recently I purchased my dream triathlon bikes (Di2 and carbon everything). You really can buy speed.

I guess my hobbies are working and sweating.

Motorcycles; I really enjoy traveling around our beautiful country on a motorcycle and I enjoy tinkering on them in the off season.

Tent camping; both while traveling on a motorcycle and car or canoe camping with my friend.

Shooting and accumulating firearms, mostly rimfire rifles and handguns, along with centerfire handguns.

Trail riding on both my small dual sport motorcycle and UTV.

Cooking; I love trying new recipes especially spicy ones.

What about you techguy?

No car is as much fun to drive, as any motorcycle is to ride.

Well I call it bourbon connoisseur/taster but everybody else calls it alcoholism. Smile

Seriously though.

Cars, guns, knives, lights, writing, BAD movies and.... ok well bourbon but I promise I only mix it with the writing, lights and especially the bad movies. Smile

I really don’t have any hobbies. I spend a lot of time looking after and taking care of my wife.

I work all the damned time.

The rest I spend here.

That’s only mildly a joke.

Come June or so I’ll be off night shift. I’d like to whitewater kayak, hike, maybe a little easy sailing, shoot a bit more, build up a nice backyard space, do some real 4 wheeling in the Jeep, have fun with my teenager.

Knowing what one is talking about is widely admired but not strictly required here.

Although sometimes distracting, there is often a certain entertainment value to this easy standard.

Every hobby I have left revolves around the shooting culture. Too old and broken for sports anymore. Gave up speed dating in my youth too. I guess ranching is my only other interest but it is nascent...
