Ratcheting gun belt- who makes a good one? Login/Join

So I had one of these:

https://2ndamenedc.com/product...1-0-edc-gun-belt-1-5

The inner liner cracked a while ago, but still worked.
I got off work and dragged my tired ass home at 0300, and the Ratcheting part of the buckle broke. There I am at 0300, trying not to swear too loud as Im looking for trauma shears to cut this belt off because it won’t open, now my pants can’t come off, Im spinning around the kitchen like an idiot with the shears, trying to find the cracked part so I can cut through there.
The wife woke up. Did I mention how damn cute she is when she’s tired and laughing at me? Because she is…

Long story short, the belt was successfully cut off, I got my pants off, and was able to get sleep.
But now in need of a good, new ratcheting belt.

Anyone here have better luck than me?

I'll 2nd Kore, been wearing one as my daily duty belt for the past year and a half. i like the low profile buckles as they don't prod me like the old leather belt did.

I also use Kore. I have four or five at this point since 2014 ish.

I have 2 that I use for tool belts that are scratched up from my metal holster clips and daily use for years. They have not stretched, they still work like when they were new, I just replaced them for aesthetics.

I do have a knock off from amazon which also works, though I had to improvise set screws in the buckle, still it was like 10 dollars and does infact work.

C,

This an under belt for a duty rig? If so what’s the outer belt?

I have both a Nexbelt and a Kore, and I think the Kore is the better buy. Available in 1.5" or 1.75", with a few different options for material (leather or nylon) and buckle style.

1.5": https://www.koreessentials.com...ections/all-edc-gear

1.75": https://www.koreessentials.com.../garrison-belts-1-75

This one is probably the closest to what you're replacing: https://www.koreessentials.com...l-nylon-gun-belt-1-5

Also available in USA Made for a few bucks more: https://www.koreessentials.com...l-nylon-gun-belt-1-5

I also have one of Kore's ratcheting duty/battle belts with matching inner, and it's similarly great. https://www.koreessentials.com...ons/battle-belt-1-75

I'm a 1.5" Kore user. Have used it for two years and it's holding up very well and still is a strong supporting foundation for whatever I carry.

My only gripe, and it truly is minor, is that the finish on the buckle isn't very durable. It scratches easily but these days, no one gets close enough to my swimsuit zone to see it except for me.

I think they make buckles with a more durable finish but the finish on my buckle seems less then durable. I wish they made buckles out of brass or SS.

They do. Most of their 1.5" buckles are made from an (unspecified) alloy, but they also have a few nickel, stainless, or brass options. $30 gets you a new buckle to put on your existing belt.

X4 is stainless.
X8 is available in either nickel or brass.
X9 is nickel.

I’ve been using slide belts since they came out with the survival belt-wear it everyday. Has LED light, magnesium fire starter and lock knife in the belt buckle.
Check them out….multipurpose.

I’ve been using Mission Belt’s standard belts for some time and been very pleased. They recently released a reinforced belt for CCW, so I bought one and have been pleased so far. They are cheaper than Kore too.

My Nexbelt Titan gun belt is almost 8 yrs. old and it's still going strong.

And as already been mentioned, Kore are supposed to be good too.

JL-
No, just a regular belt to keep my pants around my fat ass with a gun on.

You’re going to laugh, but Duty side of the house- regular Riggers belt, cobra buckle. Laced through my Jeans belt loops.
No “High Speed”, just “low drag”.
