It is a Pondo Stick (sometimes referred to as a "Pondo Poker" by the less sophisticated)...used by the ancient Etruscan Priests to find and treat piles (otherwise known as "hemorrhoids" (not to be confused with "herrhroids" which re-occurs monthly)...the "Pondo-stick" was to be lubed with pure emu oil (blessed by the Priests) to prevent discomfort as well as prevent itching of the sensitive areas when the probing was done...

The leather sheath is worth a bunch if it odorless...not common with Pondo Sticks (not many fit this description...most are stinky and crusty) just so you know.
