Actual email:

Dear XXXXXX,

This morning you received our weekly "Recipe of the Week" email, which is sent to you every Friday.

In today's email we highlighted a grilled meatloaf recipe. At the time we shared this recipe with you, we were not aware of the unfortunate passing of American singer and actor Mr. Marvin Lee Aday, also known as Meat Loaf.

We want to express our deepest apologies for this oversight and for any offense this email may have caused.

We send our condolences to Mr. Aday's family and fans.

Thank you for understanding.

The Weber Family

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

He was a fantastic singer and, I think, a good actor.

I liked his album, Bat Out of Hell, a lot, listened to it all the time in my (much) younger years.

Rocky Horror was a great movie-different for sure, but great and one we used to go see quite often. When it's on TV from time to time, I try not to miss it.

RIP!

Bob

FYI, for any of you night owls, music historian Harvey Kubernik is currently being interviewed on the radio show Coast to Coast, on Meatloaf's life and music, as he had both seen him in concert and also met him.

From his connections to music notables such as Todd Rundgren and Ted Nugent, he had a wide range of influences and, no matter whether singing or acting, gave powerful performances.
