Wow. That's something alright. And she did a beautiful job.

Unrelated: Seeing the sailors in the cracker jack uniform render a salute look pretty awkward without a bill.

I had to stop and pause the video at the spot where the sailors are saluting at the 2:35 mark. I guess that's regulations where they are touching the bottom of their caps. I think the salute would look smarter if the fingertips went up only to the eyebrow. That would be the height of where the bill would be. Just my opinion. They went back to cracker jacks after my stint; I had the ice cream vendor outfit and our hats had bills. </thread drift>

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

That was outstanding.

I am nominating that as the "official SigForum National Anthem"

She was amazing. I loved how at the very beginning she was ready to start and had to stop for a second to let the applause stop...

Excellent!! I'm with tatortodd. It is so rarely these days that we hear it performed as it is supposed to be.

My thought exactly.

Screen got a little blurry during that. Must need a new monitor.
